Reduced behaviors by 95% in the areas of assaults, drugs, and bullying.

Responsible for 35 students in an alternative educational program

centered on online instruction and credit recovery (PLATO). Extensive use

of the program to monitor students

n Implemented a binder system for student awareness of subject matter and

grades with scoring rubric and agenda items, accounting for 10% of the

student’s quarterly grade.

n I have been successful in working to transform this failing school to be

intervening school. We will receive a SIG grant because of our improvement

for continued growth. We were the highest performing school of all the

north regional intervening schools, moving from an F to within 8 points of

a C in the first year.

n Responsible for the operation of the DJJ facility for women in the

district having to implement quality assurance expectations for the

instructional focus.

n Developed professional development opportunities for teachers in the use

of current technology in the classroom. The implementation of two computer

labs, mathematics lab, and iPad lab are currently being utilized.

n Collaborated with CFO to manage budgets in general education, federal

programs, and grant funds.

three years by over 10%. I worked with teachers to create a culture for

learning, reducing behavioral referrals by one-half. I communicated with

parents using a one-on-one family meeting to discuss student outcomes and

plans for improvement which resulted in improved responsibility of

students. I used data to create a rubric for students to enter honor

classes from year to year, doubling the number of students in honor classes

the past two years.**

8th grade students have maintained over 94% proficiency in the FCAT

Writes over the past 3 years.

Middle School recognized for 3rd highest essay writing scores in the

State of Florida (2007-2008). Results reveal 83%, 94%, 96% and 96%

scores in 8th grade Writing, Mathematics, and Science in the Florida

Panhandle.

§ Developed the plan and implementation of curriculum mapping using Heidi
