Client: Northern Trust , Chicago, IL Dec 2009 – Jul 2010

Role: Application Developer

Project: IWS NAS Upgrade - Modernization of IWS, a suite of Northern Trust’s financial applications from NAS9v1 architecture to NAS9v3 architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participated with the requirements gathering team in defining the business process.

• Performed impact analysis on high level and low level basis for each of the application on account of the migration.

• Prepared the analysis documents for each of the ten applications based on the impact analysis performed.

• Prepared design documents for all the ten applications of the IWS suite based on the analysis.

• Defined the user roles to be defined in the network domain groups to permit the authentication using the Active Directory.

• Defined the generic user ids for each application to access the database.

• Worked as the core developer in coding for the migration of the IWS suite of applications using PowerBuilder 11 and PL/SQL programming.

• Created new Sybase stored procedures and modified the old stored procedures to overcome the hitches that rose due to the migration of Sybase 11.0 to Sybase 12.5 using the excellent SQL database skills and performance tuning.
