EMPLOYEMENT HISTORY
Interstate NationaLease Inc.
09/2006 - 05/2010
Joined this Team at a time when this company was losing customers and their reputation at a rapid rate. Breakdowns, morale, profits, parts and tires where all out of control. My second Monday was eventful I, had eleven trucks breakdown from my own division. The third week I lost a C-7 Cat engine due to incompetence of the mechanics! One thing I realized upfront was I inherited a shoddy managed Branch that was over-run by ineptness and low morale. The delinquent PM percentages where well below 70% on a fleet of over 500 hundred tractors, and straight trucks, Ottawa's and tractor trailers and, this was all compounded with it losing in excess of $100,000.00 per month and more.
Through positive leadership and training my PM percentages climbed up to the mid & high 90 percentile and has stayed there. Breakdowns have been reduced to one or two per month. Parts, Tires, Fuel, Labor and our Customer Relations have increased ten - fold to the point I have had customers take me to lunch to thank me on a job well done, and have all of our Full Service Lease Customers send letters or, contacted my Corporate Office rendering praise for my accomplishments.
I accomplished this with my positive, and proven "we can accomplish anything attitude", reorganization, training, cost control and my style of management being "firm but, fair". My present Team and I have a lot of fun and enjoy coming to work every day to see what challenges will confront us. Due to the economy several of us where laid off.
Atlanta Freightliner Trucks Inc.
Employed as Night Service Manager.
07/2003 - 07/2005
Atlanta Freightliner is a OEM truck dealership responsible for performing services and repairs to a multitude of customers . I managed 12 technicians ,responsible for repair orders, come backs, inventory control training and hiring of new technicians and, dealing with the customers. Productivity on my shift was the highest in the company history after 3 months on the job. In my time with Atlanta Freightliner I gained the trust of several customers where they would request only my shift work on their trucks. We were laid off due to downsizing. The whole third shift was eliminated , second shift was cut in half. Atlanta Freightliner had management changes which resulted in downsizing from over 53 technicians to around 17.
