Since my departure from IGS, I have been working on consulting/contract positions.
1) Currently working with a major HBC company on the diet and supplement categories. My challenge is to identify and market their products to potential new accounts and new class’s of trade. Within 3 months, I have personally added six new accounts and built a team of three brokerage houses focusing on specific accounts including the Sporting Goods class of trade.
2) Performed a consulting project for a Private label company. The focus of this project was their desire to increase their general merchandise business, focusing on International trade. I prepared a preliminary document outlining key issues and made recommendations for this business. After completing the document, I made a trip to Hong Kong with their executives to meet with an International Agent to discuss and plan for their successful entry into the general merchandise categories.
1/2007 – 12/2008 IGS Corporation Indiana & Florida
Global Sales Manager
Recruited as Global Sales Manager with a mandate of developing an International Sales division to market and sell Home Décor and Seasonal products exported from Asia to International customers.
Successfully built sales organization from ground zero, conceptualizing and implementing a plan that generated over $3 million in sales within 18 months. Sustained strong revenue gains, despite a fiercely competitive and declining market. Grew this division from zero customers to having distributors and customers in Australia, Ireland, Turkey, New Zealand, Switzerland, India, China and Qatar.
I accomplished this by hiring and training an effective team to exhibit at trade shows, developing customer relationships and working with them closely to understand and build their business. I also opened and was operationally responsible for an office and staff in Guangzhou, China.
Due to the economic downturn domestic sales have declined dramatically, causing IGS to downsize/eliminate the Global Sales division.
4/2001- 1/2007 Eagle International Hong Kong--Florida

In addition to Hong Kong, we opened an office Guangzhou, China focusing primarily on Quality Control and follow up with factories.
