I would like to introduce myself. My name is Dexter Nolan and I re-located to the Dallas/Fort Worth area from the Detroit metro area in Michigan. After arriving I was working for Timeline Staffing, a staffing agency that has placed me in a position with Pro Packaging in Grand Prairie doing machine maintenance and repair. Unfortunately this was only a six month contract and when it expired they
had no other placements available that would use my skillset. I have recently taken a part-time position with a landscaping company to help fill my days while I continue to pursue employment in my career field.
My most recent position before relocating was as a machine maintenance technician for Alpha Packaging in their Ypsilanti, Michigan facility. My duties included XRC and ERC programming, machine repair, troubleshooting and maintenance, and building maintenance and repairs. I have extensive experience and knowledge with Uniloy Comec, IBM, and Nissei blowmold equipment.
Immediately before Alpha Packaging, I was employed by Collins & Aikman in their Westland, Michigan facility. During my 18 years there, I was given the opportunity to grow and develop my technical and managerial skills through on the job opportunities and advancements. I started as a machine maintenance employee, responsible for the repair, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of
all machinery and tooling. My responsibilities grew to include the programming of their waterjet robots and I was given the opportunity to attend the Motoman Technical Education Center, training in XRC Robotic Programming. I was able to use and develop these skills along with ERC and MRC programming skills, through on the job experiences. In 1996, I was moved into the position of supervisor and was able to develop additional skills relating to this position, including but not
limited to managing staff, ordering parts and tracking inventory. Unfortunately, Collins & Aikman filed for bankruptcy and their re-organization plan called for the closure of the Westland facility where I was employed. The facility ceased all operations as of July 31, 2006.
On the next page I have included a copy of my resume. I have also included my references, who can attest to my professionalism and excellent work ethic. I would enjoy speaking with you about your needs and my qualifications. I am confident the skills I possess would benefit your company and make me an asset to your team. I can be reached by phone at 734-***-****. You can also email me at yq92i9@r.postjobfree.com.
Sincerely,
Dexter Nolan
