BALCO is an Aluminium production company. One of its parts is Captive Power Plant. Close to the Aluminium Smelter at Korba,Chhatishgarh, a Captive Power Plant of 540 MW capacity, comprising 4 x 135 MW clusters, has been established for firm supply of power to the Smelter.

Client: NHPC Ltd -A Govt. of India Enterprise (National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd).
Description: NHPC is a hydro power based generation company in India. For the first time it is entered into Rural Electrification work. The government of India has lunched a new scheme called”Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojna (RGGVY)”which is for rural electricity infrastructure and household electrification. The scheme is implemented by rural electrification corporation in association with NHPC.
The project is about;
1. Construction of 33/11 KV new sub-station.
2. Augmentation of existing 33/11 KV sub-station.
3. Construction of 11KV HT line.
4. Construction of LT line. (440/230)
5. Construction of pole mounted distribution Transformer.
6. Service Connection to BPL House Holders.
Responsibilities:
Presently looking after the Rural Electrification work of Gajapati District of Orissa under RGGVY Scheme, Govt. of India.
Supervision of site works, preparing drawing, billing of the contractor.
Vigilance work like doing JMC.
