WORK HISTORY

From August 2001-January 2011, I served as the Facility Operations Manager/Calendar Coordinator of the First United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Georgia, a church of 3100 members. My duties included care, operation and upkeep of this 165,000 square foot facility and grounds, as well as the management of the custodial staff. I was also responsible for the church calendar. The building contained just over 100 rooms including a reception hall that seated 250 people and a multi-purpose room that seated 500. I booked and arranged set ups for all the events that occurred there.

I currently work part time as Manager on Duty for the Frances Meadows Aquatic and Community Center. This facility houses both indoor and outdoor pools as well as meeting rooms that are used for all types of events.

Previous careers have included several years of retail and restaurant management, which I feel have prepared me in the area of customer service. My people skills and organizational aptitude brought me several promotions, including three with the Kmart Corporation. As a small business owner for over 10 years, I operated a landscape/lawn maintenance business which I was able to sell for a profit. I also owned and operated a small convenience store in Florida for 8 months. I have learned skills in the areas of problem solving, conflict resolution, staff management, book keeping, inventory control and payroll.

I am looking for a long term commitment and would welcome an opportunity to meet with you to determine if there is a role that I can play in your Staff. I’m open to relocation in Georgia and Florida.
