QA Team Lead / Consultant, CTS, Inc., Birmingham, AL 2007 – 2008
Initially brought in to establish Quality Assurance process and procedures for IT Consulting firm. Devised and
implemented repeatable methodology for automated QA process. Collaborated closely with Project Managers to
identify and proactively resolve risks. Engaged in weekly Project Management meetings and communicated QA
testing status. Key Projects & Achievements:
Wrote 121+ test scripts for manual testing process; scripts were later converted to automated scripts using
TestPartner.
Recognized for contributions to QA process with promotion to team lead.
Developed Microsoft Excel-based tool to assist in tracking scripts, test data, and defect / issues
discovered during testing phase.
Consumer Online Banking Project: Instrumental in managing testing for integrated Web-based online
banking solution. Created test plans, including scope strategy, high-level requirements, and resource
needs; authored scripts based on product requirements and design specifications. Contributed to

conversion efforts merging 10K+ Regions Bank commercial accounts into new system. Created

Managed testing for mock and live conversions; documented and presented deliverables to management

Oversaw day-to-day efforts related to testing of Arbitron Integrated Radio Systems application. Created test plans

Software Test Engineer III, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Montgomery, AL 1999 – 2004
Executed testing for key projects for leading government contractor on a consultant basis. Analyzed and interpreted
design documentation, implementation plans, unit test data, and source code to validate systems and software
requirements. Authored and maintained test procedures, test plans, and schedules. Maintained test data and
developed test cases. Ensured data integrity and accuracy; handled backup and restore procedures. Participated in

Key Projects and Achievements:
Alabama Locate Enforcement and Collection System (ALECS) Maintenance Project: Directed
Acceptance Testing to provide comprehensive and accurate functional analysis of Alabama Child Support
System. Used and modified CA-7 scheduler to execute daily batch operations. Modified JCL to direct
programs, cataloged procedures, and parameters to Acceptance Testing region. Compiled and
recompiled programs for testing. Edited data sets, created access definitions, extracted / loaded data sets,
and performed data set comparisons using Access / Move / Compare for DB2; utilized RC Update to edit
and browse tables and extracted data with SQL. Created automated tests using WinRunner / 2000. Held
responsibility for Problem Reporting and Corrective Action Tracking System (PRACATS) database.
Developed, modified, and maintained sequential data files and VSAM files. Maintained Acceptance Test
Environment in support of QA methodologies, to include source code migration, JCL, PROC, and PARMS
from Staging Environment to Acceptance Testing Environment.
ALECS Y2K Project: Led successful Y2K remediation project testing; executed baseline, 19xx, and 20xx
testing for various modules. Created and managed source code, load, JCL, cataloged procedures, and
parameter member libraries.
