Built new buildings and structures for Public Works, including new brine building, shed for Solid Waste, building for yard waste employee to take shelter in. Helped convert material delivery of ice slicer mixed with salt brine to improve efficiency by 100%. Also worked with calcium chloride and non-corrosive apogee.

Responsible for snow equipment preparedness, employee assignments, emergency contingency plans. Proficient in the use of Force America electronics for tracking delivery and quantity of materials used in storm situations. Used AVL software to track equipment and personnel.

Operated a variety of equipment such as excavators, man lifts, water trucks, motor graders, bull dozers, dump trucks, front end loaders, backhoes, street sweepers, side load trash trucks, snow plows, bucket trucks, boom trucks, small rough terrain 45 ton cranes, and vacuum trucks.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Maintenance of concrete, asphalt, roads, drainages on the New Mexico State University campus. Cleaned and maintained drainages, performed repairs on roads and sidewalks. Responsible for all new install and regular maintenance of traffic signals and street signage. Installation of traffic cameras, traffic loop sensors, signal cabinet ordering and installation, emergency repairs and system reboots.

Built new buildings and structures for the town including concession stands, skate parks, sound systems, pavilion, Town shooting range, wastewater plant, Public Works yard, and signal testing facility. Installed new and upgraded existing electrical for multiple projects including Town Hall, Public Works building. Assisted with Fain Park renovation including floating docks and bridges, built a scenic overlook on dam, lake drainage and enlargement, dam restoration, new electrical for lake aerators, new pipe for waterfall cascade for oxygenation of the Town’s lakes.

Responsible for snow equipment preparedness, employee assignments, emergency contingency plans. Drainage problem resolution. Operation of cranes (up to 100 tons), excavators, man lifts, water trucks, motor graders, bull dozers, dump trucks, front end loaders, snow plows, street brooms, boom trucks, bucket trucks, concrete pump trucks, sewer vacuum trucks, welders (ARC, MIG, oxy acetylene), air tools, specialty hand tools.

Responsible for setup of all Town holiday celebrations, such as New Year’s Ball Drop, Prescott Valley Days Celebration and Parade, Fourth of July Fireworks, Gold Fever Days/Fishing Tournament, Christmas Parade of Lights. These events involved major electrical wiring, equipment setup, traffic control and coordination with the Police Department to ensure public safety.

Oversaw nightshift crew during coal generation plant turbine rebuild. Crew consisted of operators, electricians, pipe fitters, scaffolding, welders, laborers, foremen and a general foreman. Cleaned and repaired platinum air filters, designed specialty extractor. Installed and rebuilt cooling tower piping, new stainless steel piping from the natural gas plant. Rebuilt coker plant. Cleaned and inspected vessels. Worked closely with General Electric and Arco Corporation.

Decommissioning of underground air cylinders. Use of silicone and water based solution under 10,000 PSI to cut underground cylinders and fill with concrete.
