Summery of Work Experience

Twenty Seven Years Total Experience in the field of Metallurgy. The experience consists of Material selection for refinery, welding & manufacturing of castings and forgings and application of anticorrosion coatings of pipelines such as fusion bonded epoxy, 3LPE, concrete weight coating. Design and installation of cathodic protection for offshore and on shore structures, pipelines, storage tanks. Evaluation of AC interference on cross country pipelines and designing safety systems for pipelines operating under influence of high voltage transmission lines. Vendor assessment Familiar with ASME Section V, VIII, IX, B31.3, NACE, API, ASTM, DNV as applicable to oil and gas Industry.

Present Assignment:

Bechtel Corporation Houston From 2005 till today

Lead Metallurgical/ Materials and Cathodic Protection Engineer on Shell -Motiva Refinery Crude Expansion Project at Port Arthur Texas and Materials Engineering group lead for Chevron Wheatstone grassroots LNG plant.

The responsibilities include:

• Performing Metallurgical Engineering activities such as selecting Material of Construction, and reviewing Welding procedures;

• Preparation of material selection reports; Interface with in-house mechanical equipment engineers, vendors and clients;

• Assist project in vendor assessment for procurement of engineering equipment, Visited several countries including China Korea for vendor development.

• Act as a specialist in the area of metallurgy corrosion and welding; Review vendor's fabrication procedure; welding procedure; NDE procedure; Prepare Job Specification for galvanizing, cathodic protection and welding;

• Provide technical support during Equipment Requisition and equipment manufacturing

• Review material substitution issues; Perform Fitness - for - service assessment; Prepare Material of Construction documents on projects; and utilize Corrosion assessment program and manual review for compliance to ASME, NACE, API Standards

Other responsibilities:

• Responsibility includes cathodic protection system design and assist in cost estimations for on shore offshore pipelines/ plant piping, storage tanks, AC interference mitigation modeling and designs.

1999 to 2005

Corrpro Companies Inc Houston Worked as Cathodic Protection/ Corrosion Engineer. Was assigned to several construction projects as Project Manager for design and implementation of cathodic protection systems. Work included Designing of AC interference mitigation system using state of the art software. Carried our various corrosivity surveys including stray current analysis, soil resistivity, site support, project cost estimation, contract negotiation and execution. Travelled extensile to several countries for implementation of cathodic protection designs.

1995 to 1997

Harco Arabia (a Corrpro Company) Saudi Arabia

Worked as a manager for production of cathodic protection materials such as magnesium, aluminum and high silicon iron anodes, junction boxes and miscellaneous materials and devices. The area of responsibility included managing country office including designing of cathodic protection systems, implanting quality systems, client interaction for inspection and approval, materials management, labor management

1990 to 1995

PSL Pipe Coaters India Ltd.

• Worked as Sr. quality control manager for pipe coating yard for application of fusion bonded epoxy coating, three-layer P.E. coating, concrete weight coating, liquid epoxy coating and coal tar enamel coating, Monel cladding on riser pipes and sacrificial anode installation. Was responsible for administration of quality system at coating plant, preparation of all quality related documents and procedures. Was responsible for compliance with all the testing, inspection and calibration activities related to pipe coating and sacrificial anode manufacturing Was lead assessor for implementation of ISO 9000 quality system

1982 to 1990

Engineering Industry in India

• Worked as a Metallurgist in Foundry as a process control quality control Engineer, for manufacturing of castings made of cast iron SG iron, steel , stainless steel , Ni-hard Ni-chrome low alloy steel used in refineries as well as automotive industries.

• Also worked as Sr. Metallurgical Engineer for manufacture of API grade steel and stainless steel pipes and tubes. Well versed with all aspects of metallurgical testing involved including destructive and nondestructive testing such as eddy current and UT/ RT

• As an ancillary development (Vendor Development) Engineer for Hindustan ISUZU Motors Limited India, for development of castings and forgings fasteners and other components required for auto industries. Made several shop visits at vendors across the globe
