Skunk Squad

• Selected to be part of a group of “innovate minds”

• Led event planning team for an early registration event, a going green campaign and a welcoming event for students

• Worked with Facilities to line up necessary equipment and furniture for events

Queuing Management Systems

Financial Aid Audit

Scholarship Tracking and Review Software(STARS)

• Designed and implemented Scholarship Tracking and Review Software (STARS) for Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships

• Formulated over 190 scholarships into system, adding over 290 criteria that correlated with scholarships

• Conducted training for financial aid staff consisting of 18 employees

• Served as administrator of STARS system

• Worked with the Information Technology and Research, Analytics and Reporting departments to create reports for users

Accounting/Tax/Audit

• Performed Employee Benefit Plan audits for various clients, including participation testing, distribution testing, investment testing, employee loan testing, and non-participant testing

• Prepared month end financial statements for numerous businesses

• Tracked client inventories

• Prepared individual and corporate tax returns and amendments, both federal and state, as well as property tax returns

• Interviewed companies to gain information about particular business processes; wrote policies and procedures for the company, identifying all risks and internal controls associated with their processes; once completed, tested the current process, documented all findings, identified all control issues, and gave recommendations to upper management on ways in which to add value to their business processes and internal controls

• Worked with Senior Audit Manager on fraud investigations, which included reviewing bank statements, financial statements and other supporting documents; also interviewed and interacted with company’s staff accountant to determine events that were going on that caused initial suspicion of fraud

• Ensured completion of all yearend work for the Bursar’s office, including approval of all journal entries, review of all accounts and bad debt analysis
