Oversaw all Parsons’ Field engineering and Site management personnel. Reviewed and maintained daily reports for all activities. Responsible for review and sign-off of progress reports, invoicing and certificate/applications for payment verification for sub-contractor payments.

Instructed subcontractors on new techniques for multi-tasking construction procedures on a daily basis to increase production at the sites. i.e: monolithic concrete pours with regards to better techniques in forming, forms, reinforcement and embed work. This training and implementation of new techniques allowed for a completion on the concrete pour schedule that reflected a 2 month ahead of schedule milestone.

Nana Pacific 2004- Iraqi Freedom

Construction Manager (275-600 LN’s)

Basrah International Airport-renovation project, Basrah, Iraq

Oversaw all construction operations and reviewed assessment of the main chiller/boiler plant of the Terminal, Air Traffic Control Tower, Fire Station, Hotel and Engineering Plant Operations buildings. Renovation of the ring road and all curbing/sidewalks along with signage.

Set up site offices and handled all meetings for subcontractor bid prep, analysis and tabulations. Coordinated all meetings with the USACE and PCO. Review of scope and all specialty manufacturers and representatives for final scope clarifications to existing designs and modifications. Coordinated all meetings with British Military command, local officials and Iraqi Police regarding vetting of Iraqi National workers for clearance to access airport grounds. $15 million dollar project

ECCI (Environmental Chemical Corporation International) (2004-Iraqi Freedom)

Senior Field Superintendent / Project Engineering / Project Coordinator

An Numaniyah Military Base, South Central Iraq (1300-2800 TCN and LN’s)

Oversaw all mechanical, electrical, sanitary and sewer drawings. Installed and set up Auto-Cad for onsite plotting of drawings for field use. Trained Iraqi National Engineers in setup and use.

Handled all M.E.P. drawings and reviewed changes and addendums for conflicts per specifications and layout. Reviewed materials and work in progress for payments. Made corrections and advised changes to allow compliance to contract documents along with specific scope of work conditions.

Responsible for the design and layout of the new 350-expat and 400-man guard base camps. This was done while the existing contract work on the main base was in progress. The design of the new work camp included 6-500 KVA generators along with various 50, 60, 100 and 250 KVA gen. sets. The design incorporated a 3-way manual transfer switch system that allowed for continuous power to be available during scheduled maintenance of the electrical grid. Co-designed and coordinated security fencing and bunkers using all current offensive and defensive protocols. The main base had various 2.25 - KVA generator systems with 3.2-5 MCCB switchboard panels for distributing loads. Oversaw all electrical work for battalion brigade buildings and all structures within scope. $38+ million dollar project

Responsible for coordination and field oversight of all Mechanical, Electrical (high & low voltage), Plumbing systems and 63 dispenser state of the art fueling system for all rental car company return centers on the new 585,000 sf (10 acre). Oversaw all structural slabs on grade (10 acre footprint) pour schedule activities including all reinforcement, grade beams, pile caps, piles, inspections and monitoring of as-built drawings. (All underground utilities hung from structural slab with various hanger techniques.) Interfaced daily with grading conflicts due to in-slab hangers. The project had 8 tower cranes

MEP Superintendent (575-1100+ labor/craft force)

PERFORMING ARTS CENTER OF GREATER MIAMI – Responsible for Coordination and field review oversight of all Mechanical, Electrical (high & low voltage) and Plumbing work on the new 570,000 sf, Responsible for monitoring and reviewing updates for all sub-contractor scope of work and specific scope of work contracts. Including all change order and PCO work. This highly complex project was designed by Cesar Pelli & Associated and includes the 2,200-seat Symphony Hall, a 2,480-seat Ballet Opera House, Studio Theatre, Plaza of the Arts, educational spaces and a café located in the renovated historical Art Deco Sears Tower. $255 million Performing Arts Center.

Project Engineering and Contract Management for Special Systems

SBC CENTER ARENA (New Home of the NBA San Antonio Spurs) – Responsible for developing and administrating bid packages, bid tabulations and recommendations to Owner for awarding of contracts along with contractual agreements and any changes to bid packages including all change orders and value engineering as required. Monitored Special Electrical Systems on this 18,500-seat arena this included: Low Voltage and Audio/Video Systems, RF-Broadband, CCTV-MATV and Telecom-Data Systems with all Security upgrades as required. Negotiated subcontractor buyouts. Provided extensive M.E.P. review/coordination and troubleshooting of field issues and recommending corrective actions as needed.

$180+ million project.

WEST VALLEY EVENT CENTER (a 12,500-seat arena which was built to host hockey events at the 2002 Winter Olympics) – Responsible for coordination of all underground and infield mechanical, electrical and plumbing trades with an extensive State of the Art Ice Rink System. Managed all contact work including all field installation of Audio/Video, Security and Lighting Systems, RF, Telecom and Electrical Systems. Also reconfigured audio systems (arena bowl and ancillary) design and application. Coordinated all contract and revision documents for field office. $80 million project

Provided audio consultation and oversight of the installation of Sound Systems, Variable semi-rotational Acoustical Cloud.
