PROJECTS Binghamton University, State University of New York
Implementation of Logistic Regression Multivariate Analysis 9/11-12/11
• Performed logistic regression analysis on a typical teaching assistantship problem
• Used SAS 9.1.3 software for the above logistic regression analysis
• Determined the variables and classified them as independent and dependent
• Determined the most significant independent variables among the five affecting the dependent variable with the use of SAS 9.1.3
Designed a factorial experiment for a tombstoning problem 4/11- 5/11
• Conducted the design of experiments on the tombstoning component
• Used Minitab software to conduct the experiment and deliver the results.
• Determined the factors influencing the tombstoning defect and hence predicting the most significant factor from those with the use of Minitab 16.
Implementation of discrete event simulation 3/11- 5/11
• Compared the two different cases for attributes such as increase in productivity, reduction of costs, improving profits and enhancing overall yield
• Use of simulation software ARENA 12.0 to compute the above results and comparing the two cases for the above attributes
Designed a fuzzy logic model 10/10- 12/10
• Use of fuzzy logic principles to find the heuristic relations between the inputs and the outputs for a manufacturing system
• MATLAB 7.12 software was used to determine the relation between the inputs and the outputs
• Finally we compute the number of respective inputs needed for the required number of outputs
EXPERIENCE Speedline Technologies, Franklin Massachusetts 9/11-1/12
Process Engineer Intern
• Worked on the Stencil printing machines, Accela and Momentum for studying the stencil printing processes to study the different parameters affecting the quality of print on the circuit board
• For studying the quality of the print and to get the data for each pad of the component, working on the solder paste inspection machines like the KY 3020, KY 3030 and KY aspire 2 was necessary
• Also had a hands-on experience on the reflow convection ovens needed to treat the circuit boards to attach the components on them.
Binghamton University, State University of New York 1/11-6/11
Teaching Assistant
• Assisted Professor with gradation and review of coursework
• Held weekly office hours to tutor and review student queries
• Answer student questions and provide support during and after the class
University of Mumbai, Mumbai 7/09-6/10
Lecturer
• Taught the course “Manufacturing Processes, Planning and Systems” which deals with the manufacturing processes in the industry, a number of quality control methods such as TQM and Kaizen and some manufacturing control techniques Demand Management and Just-in-Time
• Taught the course “Material Technology” which deals with the different material behavior and defects in the material
