To keep a close monitoring and implementation of the industry reference standards, recommendations and practices, mainly: ICAO Annex 14, ICAO Aerodrome Design manual, part 4, “Visual Aids, ICAO Aerodrome Design Manual, part 5, “Electrical systems, ICAO Airport services manual, part 9, and “Airport maintenance practices, and FAA.

Is working presently in Tata Power SED, The Tata Power Company Limited, through its Strategic Electronics Division (Tata Power SED), has been a leading private sector player in indigenous design, development, production and supply of defence systems.

Modernization of Air Field Infrastructure (MAFI) project is going on under Tata Power SED. The Project value is $260 million of 30 air fields.

The MAFI project includes the following:-

Supply, testing, integration & sustenance of CAT 2 Airfield Lighting systems.

Supply, testing, integration & sustenance of Instrument Landing System (ILS)

Supply, testing, integration & sustenance of Distance Measuring Equipments (DME)

Supply, testing, integration & sustenance of Digital VHF Omni Range (DVOR)

Supply, testing, integration & sustenance of Tactical Air Navigation System (TACAN)

Current Job Profile

To design, review and implement of AGL projects in coordination with vendor’s Technical specification Engineer and site supervision Engineer as per ICAO, FAA and other accepted International Standards and regulations.

Responsible for checking design documents received from Designers.

Cross verification of designs with BOM & circuit diagrams.

To study of Request for Proposal (RFP) and Technical specification.

Review the scope of work, Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ), specification.

Review Drawing (AGL), Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Method Statements to ensure all Technical

Design the quality plan, quality formats, site checklists & Work method statement.

Day to day supervision of construction work for Quality, conformity; according to Method statements, Approved work procedures & Plans.

Ensure electrical BOQ’s are in line with specification requirement, value engineering is accurate and released for procurement on to a subcontractor in a timely fashion.

To oversee the subcontracted electrical design works in line with project requirements in the agreed timeframe.

Review and approve electrical specifications before issue to vendors/ subcontractors

Manage vendors and supervise the work to its completion in accordance with project safety and quality standards.

Attended regular meetings with the Main Contractor and their Sub Contractors to excicute the project.

Assist with documentation, tender and award of electrical supply and installation subcontracts.

Ensure electrical design, procurement of electrical work materials and execution of the work is in accordance with the project schedule.

Develop progress reports for electrical works and complete progress updates in accordance with project weekly and monthly reporting requirements.

Be alert for potential hazardous situations & act in a safe manner.

Take corrective action on all hazardous situations.

Ensure work area housekeeping is managed to provide a safe and healthy environment at all times.

Previous Work Experience

Worked with AMA PVT LTD (airfield grounding lighting division) in Delhi International Airport Limited (T1 & T2 maintenance) under GMR as a Maintenance engineer from January 2010 to May 2010.

Worked with AMA PVT LTD (airfield grounding lighting division) in Delhi International Airport Limited (T3, phase 1B project, light installations of new taxi and apron) under Honeywell, L&T and GMR as a project engineer from January 2009 to December 2009.

Worked with AMA PVT LTD (airfield grounding lighting division) in Delhi International Airport Limited (T1 & T2 maintenance) under GMR as a Maintenance engineer from September 2008 to December 2008.

Worked with JMB UNIVERSAL ENGINEERS in Delhi International Airport Limited (T3 project) under AMA PVT LTD (airfield grounding lighting division), Honeywell, L&T and GMR as a project engineer from May 2008 to August 2008.

Worked with JMB UNIVERSAL ENGINEERS in Bangalore International Airport Limited under AMA PVT LTD and Siemens (ADB) as a project engineer from Sept 2007 to April 2008.

Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Airfield Lighting Systems for Cat I, Cat II and Cat III Airports like Runway centerline lights, Runway edge and end lights, PAPI, approach, threshold and threshold wing bar lights, Sequence flashing system, Runway threshold identification lights, Distance remaining signs and Runway exit Guidance signs..

All Runway & Taxiway Lights, Stop bar Installation, Cable pulling, Transformer, Addressable Switch Device(ASD) Installation, Connection, Circuit Testing & Dressing.

Responsible for preventive maintenance & operation of all CCR & all AGL System.

All LT panel, Remote panel, Mimic panel & CCR erection & commissioning.

Maintenance & operation of CCR 4KW-50KW).

Maintenance of all runway & taxiway lights, circuit & sign board.

Installation, testing, commissioning and calibration of Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS).

Manage vendors and supervise the work to its completion in accordance with project safety and quality standards.

Prepare & validate Corrective & preventive action plan
