I perform various tests on all types of body fluids and report them in a timely efficent manner. I must perform quality control on laboratory instruments and trouble shoot when neccessary. I work independantly in all areas of the lab including Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, and Blood Bank. I have excellent skills in multi tasking and working in a fast paced environment. I have experience working with many different instruments including Beckman's LH750's for Hematology as well as the Sysmex XE-5000. Beckman's LXC's, LXi's, DXC's and DXi's for Chemistry. The Iris for Urinalysis and the Galileo and Provue for Blood Bank. I also perform Micro set ups which includes routine cultures, fungal and AFB cultures as well as rapid tests such as Influenza, Strep, RSV, and C-Diff. I was sent to Sysmex training in Mundelein, IL on the XE-5000 in October of 2011 and am a key operator on this instrument.

After a year and a half I was promoted to Customer Service where I was in charge of the cashiers and closing out all of the register tills at the end of the night. This included counting the tills and making sure all transactions were accounted for and all monies were properly sealed and secured. I also worked the service counter desk and took customer’s questions or complaints and dealt with them accordingly.
