MILITARY EXPERIENCE

Navy First Class Petty Officer (EAWS) Aviation Structural Mechanic/Technician; Assigned permanent duty station experience include

March 2003 – November 2006 F/A-18E/F SUPER HORNET INSTRUCTOR

Designed, Developed and Implemented course curriculum and instructed new assigned F/A-18F maintenance personnel to ensure fleet readiness.

Achievements included: The training of over 180 students with grade point averages of 98.9%.

The revision and implementation of courseware reducing length of course resulting in saving the Department of the Navy $10,000 per student.

February 1999 – March 2003 Navy Strike Fighter Squadron 115 (Eagles)

1) The Leading Petty Officer for the troubleshooter branch of the live division. In this capacity, flawlessly supervised 11 assigned personnel while ensuring safety adherence and the safe return of all personnel and assets from an ll.5 Month deployment to the Arabian Gulf.

2) Leading Petty Officer for the second shift Airframes work center. In this assignment, supervised 18 maintenance technicians supporting flight operations for 12 F/A -18A-D and E/F Super Hornet Aircraft.

3) Hazardous Materials Coordinator (HMC&M) for entire squadron. As the HMC&M, revised all handling storage, and reporting requirements for the entire command. Efforts resulted in zero discrepancies during an inspection from the California Environmental Protection Agency.

4) Corrosion Control Supervisor/Leading Petty Officer. Handpicked for this assignment by leadership to supervise the work center as a Second Class Petty Officer. In this capacity implemented new SOP’s, technical directives, Hazmat, support equipment and personnel during a complex transition to the first deployable F/A-18 SUPER HORNET SQUADRON in less than 90 days ensuring all training for personnel was conducted and support qualifications for all personnel where obtained, resulting in the completion of the transition 30 days before the deadline.

January 1996 – February 1999 Navy Electric Attack Squadron 129 (Vikings)

Airframes Maintenance Technician

Supported flight operations and general repairs for 24 EA-6B (Prowler) aircraft.

Corrosion Control Supervisor

Managed six aircraft paint personnel and performed scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on 24 EA-6B aircraft.

December 1992 – January 1996 Navy Electric Fighter Squadron 151 (Vigilantes)

Airframes Maintenance Technician

Performed scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on 12 F/A-18C

Plane Captain, performed pre-flight/post-flight/turnaround inspections, fueling operations, and provided general ground support for all assigned aircraft.
