Manager – Compliance & Audit – Information Technology

Payroll conversion project manager from the selection of a third party vendor for the processing the company’s payroll to the implementation of the selected company’s product. This project included organizing the various vendors’ presentations, and creating a scorecard to aid identifying and selecting, a vendor, in final vendor selection. Managed the entire project, which encompassed the Human Resource, Payroll, Employee Self Service and Time and Attendance modules. This conversion effort consisted of guiding the Human Resource and Payroll departments to standardize processes and merge four databases into one. Communication with executives on the goals and progress of the project, managed the communication to all employees regarding features and benefits of the new payroll system.

Managed the Sarbanes-Oxley IT compliance effort including initial education of management and employees, responsible for control activities, remediation efforts and presentation of deficiencies to senior management.

Managed numerous consultants (3 to 35) performing the testing of Information Technology General Controls (ITGCC’s), application controls, and report testing. Managed the remediation efforts for Segregation of Duties (SOD), conflicts within several financial applications. Remediation efforts included working with the business process owners to develop a prioritized remediation plan to resolve conflicts. Worked with IT to implement the recommended SOD changes for the financial applications.

Managed the testing of Change Management, Operations, Security, System Development Life Cycle, End User Computing, Segregation of Duties and Application Configurable Controls.

Liaison between the Information Technology Department with external auditors for coordination of test of design and operation effectiveness. .

Assigned to numerous projects to ensure that proper controls were designed and implemented into new processes, systems and/or applications.
