• Evaluated the total worth (in terms of size and maturity) of a major Heavy Oil reservoir using Seismic Inversion process by means of the software, ISIS, for a one of the biggest oil company in India

• Devised a structured workflow and established the efficiency, accuracy and usability of a new software, Earthworks, for performing Seismic Inversion

• Recommended, in consultation with the Reservoir Seismic Services team, purchase of Earthworks ($23,000); Purchase made by the company based on this recommendation

OIL AND NATURAL GAS CORPORATION MUMBAI [2009]

• Studied the complete gamut of seismic data acquisition, data processing and data interpretation

• Analyzed the Seismic acquisition data of a major Oil bearing zones by performing Seismic Data Processing till Pre Stack Time Migration using PROMAX and GeoDepth

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

M.Sc. DISSERTATION

• Developed an algorithm for One-Dimensional Inversion using Backus-Gilbert approach; Designed a computer program using FORTRAN using this algorithm to carry out this Inversion

• Developed model would enhance the resolution of earth’s subsurface with increased depth of exploration

• Test performed on experimental data showed nearly 15% greater resolution compared to conventional methods
