Responsibilities include managing the day- to- day operations of the city’s water distribution systems, repairing cast iron pipe, ductile pipe, cement, PVC, and copper piping in accordance with company policies/procedures and governmental laws/regulations. Established a program to ensure EPA partnership for Safe Water Goals are met. Ensure local water distribution operations meet the required standards and are in compliance. Supervise the implementation of standards, targets, policies, and plans to ensure operational efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of the unit. Ensure that operational integrity (quality, environment, reliability, health, safety, security, etc.) is maintained. Duties include managing QS-9000, ISO 9000, and ISO/TS 16949 activities, determining and deploying Six Sigma and other formal processes to improve productivity. Also responsible for championing the Warehouse Improvement Process (WIP), managing transportation lane compliance, managing inventory using FIFO to ensure counts are accurate, and overseeing the day to day warehouse operation.
