SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Program Manager on a $24 million research laboratory support contract. Managed 65 technical staff, R&D projects, budgets, expenditures, and customer relations that successfully won follow-on competitive contracts. Provided technical presentations and collaborated with multiple customers unified under a single support contract.

Engineering unit manager supporting Air Force Research Laboratory. Managed engineers and programming teams in supporting network testing laboratories and application development. Interfaced directly with contracting officer and COTR on a daily basis. Identified and captured additional tasking to grow contract revenues.

Restructured IT operations, improving organizational performance. Assessed IT capabilities / staff and determined requisite changes to achieve a strategic plan I established for Lovelace Respiratory Research in DOE’s facilities. Hired qualified staff, set up network infrastructure and computing platforms, managed software solutions. Established supreme confidence in IT services provided.

Managed IT infrastructure software development, training services, technical communications, knowledge management and regulatory compliance in a dynamic research environment. Controlled $3.5M budget / 32 personnel.

Senior Program Manager, Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute, 1999 to 2002. Managed teams of engineers and programmers providing support to commercial and government clients. Projects included web development, application development, classified Internet agents and first responder telemedicine tools.

Director of New Business, Rome Research Corp., 1992 to 1999. Defense research and services firm. Accountable for federal contracts, programs, projects, allocation of resources, recruitment of staff, expenses and contract profitability. Developed strategic and annual operating plans.
