ACHIEVEMENTS
• Developed contract language for multi prime contracts. Created a system that would allow many contractors to have a say in the schedule, and yet build consensus as a group and created team building. Result: zero claims or disputes associated with construction time or progress.
• Implemented a corporate wide system to update a schedule with accurate actual dates. This eliminated the need to recreate history by only utilizing meeting minutes, or superintendent’s daily logs. Result: a more efficient use of the scheduling software, and eliminating time recreating history for project which in claims or litigation.
• Streamlined communication among upper management by creating a weekly status reporting system for all projects involved with highlight progress, outstanding issues and potential problems. Result: improved communication and eliminated status meeting requirements completely.
• Pioneered the productivity database for BIM software to develop schedules in Control. Result: a more in depth use of Vico BIM modeling software saving time, and productivity.
• Part of a team that lead the company to pursue lean construction techniques, Result: created an out of the box think tank for changing historical construction means and methods.
• Developed a network of subcontractors for referrals. Result: increase outside of healthcare client base by 10 percent, and maintained repeat clients in the local market. Increased profits of the branch office by 20%.
• Mentored and trained numerous engineers on how to consult in healthcare construction, and what to look for in the scheduling consultant. Result: increased company business and productivity.
• Developed an Excel estimating worksheet to determine material/ manpower, and profit pricing. Result: decrease estimating timeframes for projects by half. Allowing us to price more, in a shorter period of time, and be more efficient.
• Created templates used for scheduling program management/design phases for typical projects. Became a tool never before utilized and created cohesion and similarity for upper level management. Result: a tool still being used and providing an outline for success
• Developed training manuals for engineers to fill out paperwork for schedule updates. Process provided real time updates to management on how design progress was being made. Result: Made the update process occur outside of monthly updates, and removed two hours from the district wide agenda meeting.
• Created tools to communicate problem areas to the district manager with regard to project progress. Result: Allowed district manager to address issues much earlier in the design process. We went from being last in the district being fiscally responsible to being third in a three year timeframe.
• Began a rapport with suppliers to provide business leads, Result: increased business leads/availability by 10%. Allowed an additional revenue stream to develop.
• Expanded business model to include client commercial construction, branching out from typical civil construction. Result: Increasing business opportunities with existing clients.
• Solely pioneered a permitting system for civil projects in the petroleum industry in Orange County Florida, Result: timely permitting process, and saving the company money by not having to hire outside permitting services.
