Projects carried out-

Configured air compressors & air drier controls to Yokogawa DCS systems.

Configured Fire Protection & control signals, chlorination dosing monitoring & controls signals & to Honeywell PLC.

Fix 32 server prepation:-Used for Power & energy data management; Data can be fetched from any place.

Mark V <I> processor (HMI) preparation: Using windows 98 OS & MARK V HMI software.

Centralized fire controlling stations of essar steel plant & ESSAR POWER: Fire pumps operations of both the plant can be monitored & controlled sitting in any of the both plants.

Working Experience:-

Currently working as a Deputy manager( instrumentation engineer) at Thermal based combined cycle power plant, ESSAR POWER LTD since July,2009 .

KEY FEATURES OF PLANT :- 3 GAS TURBINES & 1 STEAM TURBINE.

Calibration & maintenance of Turbine & boiler monitoring instruments.(switches,gauges,control valves, Transmitters)

Troubleshooting any instrumentation side defects in plant & getting solution to it.

Implementation of any logic modifications for process requirements in DCS.Prevetive maintenance of DCS systems(including taking backups )

Configuration of new signals to DCS, Cable scheduling, Loop checking.

Installation, Inst cable laying, conduit installation, JB installation, Hook up installation, inspection, calibration, loop checking, site acceptance test, site modification as required at site condition.

Co-ordination with vendor representative for special Inst./system checking

Working knowledge of SAP (instrument \material management) software.

Design activities like preparation of systems and Instrument Specification, control schematics, Inst. Stds., Function schematics, cable schedule, logic diagram, control room, field inst. Layouts, Hazardous area equipment & practices, cost estimation. Handle responsibilities of managing and auditing performance of contractors

Provide engineering support for procurement activities for instrumentation and control systems

Review detailed design of projects for technical accuracy, compliance, company codes and requirements

MAINTENANCE:

Hands on experience in, trouble shooting, start up, shutdown job & preventive / corrective maintenance, manpower / inventory control.

Maintenance of Gas turbines & steam turbines controlling structures.

-BHEL steam turbines:-construction of turbine, differtent turbine HP & LP stage blades. Had site visit also. Types of Sealing’s used .Rotor blades assembly, Turbine assembly, Rotor load testing,Rotor alignment.

-MIL control valves training at Kerala:-All types of control valves manufactured by them. Control valve accessories like positioned, position transmitter, limit switches, regulator,I\P converters)control valve & valve body assembly. Calibration procedure, installation procedure. Had site visit also.

-Scada software wonder ware 32 HMI software.

Hydraulics skid:-Type of hydraulic oil used turbine trip control circuit,pressure ratings required,servo operation & types

ACADEMIC PROJECTS:

PH METER(determine whether the given solution os acid or base)made use of TL081,a low power consumption FET based amp.)

:Automatic Car Parking Monitoring & Data Acquisitiion Systems :Based on RSlogiix 500-PLC & Rs-view 32 SCADA(Use for Infrared sensors for sensing car entering or leaving Car Parking Area.Counters used give no of cars that have entered parking area.SCADA for data acquisition)

ACADEMIC SEMINAR ON:- I-V CHARACTERISATION OF NANO PARTICLES(measurement & analysis techniques for nano size materials)

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS:-Won THIRD PRIZE for circuit troubleshooting (circuit given was of water level controller) held at college level.
