Managed all aspects of Area fleet operations for multiple collection and landfill sites in 5 states.

Fleet Operations Manager, PBC, Midwest Business Unit 2009-2011

Managed all aspects of Midwest fleet operations. Oversight of 102 locations in 18 states, $86 million operating budget, $20 million capital budget, 13 direct reports, 10,000+ fleet assets.

• Delivered $2.6 million reduction to 2010 planned expenses in the midst of extensive process and systems changes.

• Reduced number of "big power" units 14% by analyzing daily sales data and equipment utilization across the Business Unit.

• Implemented electronic parts inventory system utilizing scanners and bar coding resulting in improved tracking and security, elimination of obsolete parts and over $250k reduction in inventory levels.

Managed all aspects of West Group fleet operations. Oversight of 74 locations in 15 states, $50 million operating budget, $10 million capital budget, 8 direct reports, 5,000+ fleet assets. Also managed fleet operations in Puerto-Rico, Nassau, Jamaica and Trinidad until sold in late 2005.

Director of Fleet Operations, PepsiAmericas 1996–2000

Managed company Fleet Operations Team encompassing 38 domestic locations in 8 states and 8 locations on 5 islands in the Caribbean.

• Achieved successful consolidation of soft drink and beer fleets resulting from several acquisitions in south Louisiana.

• Performed due diligence of fleet operations for each of the Caribbean soft drink acquisitions and implemented solutions based upon findings.

• Facilitated the import of key domestic hourly mechanics to assist in bringing island fleets up to minimum standards and help evaluate and train local personnel.

• Analyzed Puerto-Rico lease agreement and identified numerous shortcomings and irregularities. Successfully ended the agreement resulting in first year savings over $300k.

• Expanded used equipment capital purchase program to include refurbishment of purchased and existing fleet assets to maximize capital expenditures and reduce fleet operating costs.

Managed New Orleans warehouse operations, 9 fleet locations in Louisiana and Texas and oversaw facility capital projects.

• Established used equipment purchasing program to maximize impact of limited fleet capital.
