Manager, Learning and Development
Led the Learning and Development function for the US Healthcare Division of Air Products. This was a turn-around assignment with a need to return the organization to profitability.
• Designed and facilitated customized leadership and management training programs for 190 supervisors and managers in 19 locations that enabled the organization to use consistent standards for and on time completion of performance management and succession planning with performance ratings that correlated to individual and team performance measures.
• Designed and facilitated competency based leadership development programs shift from functional to dispersed leadership model resulting in a return to profitability in 12 of 15 regions, enabling the parent company to complete a planned sale of the organization despite challenging market conditions.
• Provided change management support for 2 mission critical projects including developing tools for prioritization of staffing needs.
IMS HEALTH, Plymouth Meeting, PA 1999 –2007
Training Manager, Organizational Learning
Designed and implemented a variety of US, Americas and Global programs for IMS Health, the leading provider of data and consulting services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences marketplace.
• Program managed creation and implementation of global consulting curriculum built on a customized competency model. Program was implemented in 4 global regions and trained more than 1200 consulting organization staff.
• Designed and implemented Engagement Management tool kit housed on the IMS Global Knowledge Management system for Consulting & Services audience. Led the project from concept through global adoption. This provided ready access to templates and methodologies for consulting and services staff in more than 25 countries.
• Developed and facilitated Management Certification Curriculum for managers new to role or new to company. No managers completing the curriculum were cited in EEO complaints.
• Led HR team creating goal setting training supporting US PeopleSoft ePerformance launch.
• Created and deployed the organization’s first global key employee development planning process that supported succession planning allowing the organization to track learning for this audience. Provided the same support for US Diversity Candidates.
• Provided coaching and 360 feedback to key US employees. Identified next stage learning for groups and individuals US succession plan to prepare them for next stage assignments
• Led the development of global new employee orientation program identifying and implementing best practices from different geographic regions resulting in a consistent message for new hires.
• Designed and implemented 6 Sigma awareness training for US employee audience illustrating the performance improvement process using an easy to understand case.

Provided OD services for a Philadelphia-based technology team. Left the position when the company transferred the project to suburban Washington, DC.
• Designed and implemented on-line systems documentation providing real time systems support across 4 time zones
• Identified and mentored a group of regional systems champions supporting local acceptance of proprietary single system implementation replacing four separate and non-compatible systems
• Designed and coordinated system acceptance and Y2K certification testing, saving over $250,000 in external consultant fees
• Led Northeastern Regional Homeless 1998 fund raising project that raised $7,000 for local homeless charity
