PROJECT1: WIRELESS SWITCH

DESCRIPTION:

The circuit is built around an IC CA3140, IRLED1, phototransistor and other discrete components. When regulated 5V is connected to the circuit, IR LED1 emits infrared rays, which are received by phototransistor. The collector of T1 is connected to non-inverting pin 3 of IC1. Inverting pin 2 of IC1 is connected to voltage-divider preset VR1. Using preset VR1 you can vary the reference voltage at pin 2, which also affects sensitivity of the phototransistor. Op-amp IC1 amplifies the signal received from the phototransistor. Resistor R3 controls the base current of transistor BC548 (T2). The high output of IC1 at pin 6 drives transistor T2 to energize relay RL1 and switch on the appliance through the relay contacts.

PROJECT2: FINGER PRINT BASED ATTENDANCE SYSTEM

DESCRIPTION:

This project is about to develop a portable attendance monitoring system based on finger print identification that can be used to monitor attendance in an organization. This project will utilize a portable finger print scanner as the input to acquire finger print images to process the images and record the attendance. When finger print is scan on the finger print scanner, the finger print images will be sent to IC8051 microcontroller and will be match with database that has been enrolling in the microcontroller. This project is also need to develop a program that has finger print recognition and identification function as well as database to store student’s information and attendance records.
