Warehouse Manager

Managing a 250,000 sq. ft. 24hr/7 day Manufacturing and Distribution Center. This encompassed overseeing the Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, Housekeeping, Safety and Transportation departments. Managed and trained staff of 30+ employees, including supervisors, team leaders, hourly employees and temporary staff. Ensured all company policies and procedures were met in a safe and productive environment. Accomplishments:

• Directed shipping and receiving department to meet customer deliveries and inbound shipments of raw materials and packaging to meet manufacturing and customer needs.

• Installed racking and organized the warehouse by SKU in order to better utilize existing space and cut down on forklift transit time to packaging room.

• Maintained Bulk and Wip in FEFO by Lot Code and Expiration Date.

• Team Leader in achieving the highest third party audit ratings from organizations including AIB and GMA Safe.

Managed a 520,000 sq. ft. 24hr/5 day Warehouse Distribution Center. This encompassed overseeing the Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, and Housekeeping and Transportation departments. Supervised and trained staff of 100+ employees, including supervisors, team leaders, hourly employees and temporary staff. Handle all employee development for supervisory staff and directly oversaw promotions within the department. Ensured all company policies and procedures were met. Some accomplishments included:

Facilities Manager 2002 – 2004

Supervised 10 maintenance employees to handle internal maintenance and repairs on forklifts, pallet changers and pick pack lines within the NB Campus. Monitored/maintained purchase orders in the SAP system. Achievements:

• Initiated Capital Projects and Purchase Orders for projects campus-wide.

• Negotiated maintenance agreements with outside Contractors including HVAC, landscaping, snow removal, recycling and office equipment requiring a 3 bid per service process.

• Sole IT contact for order set up including purchase agreements, replacement of hardware and maintaining server tape library.

• Maintained the internal communication system including land line and mobile set up, maintenance, technical trouble shooting and monthly reporting.

Transportation and Fleet Manager 1996 – 2002

Directed contact between the corporate office and our core group of 40 national and regional carriers used to service our customer base from the Northeast to the Midwest. Developed and managed a private fleet to service the NB Campus with raw materials and moving finished goods between 3 Distribution Centers.

• Develop and manage a $2.5M private fleet budget, with responsibility for P&L savings of $150K first year by renegotiating equipment with vendor.

Dispatcher/Driver

Started out as an Owner / Operator CDL Class A License servicing the East Coast making pickups and deliveries for Heartland and Purity Supreme Stores, then moved into the Dispatch position responsible for a 30 Tractor Fleet. Purchased, maintenanced and handled bookkeeping for all equipment and driver’s leased vehicles under personal company name (PTC) for a 3 year period.

• Coordinated 5 truck local fleet with pickups for over the road drivers to allow them quick turnaround once they’ve returned to New Jersey.

• Established relationships with high volume customers that enabled us to implement drop trailer programs at their Distribution Centers which expedited Drivers time at customer.

• Dispatched 30 trucks and drivers to service customer base with head hauls and backhauls to Supermarket General in New Jersey.
