" Working as an intern, redesigned an HR report that was done via manual subtotaling to use Excel pivot tables saving hours of manual processing.

" After regular expressions were introduced in Oracle 10g, rewrote numerous existing SQL queries using regular expressions eliminating many lines of code.

" Designed a way to send print output from a DOS-based applicatiod into a pdf printer via PCL. Previously this was considered unfeasible as DOS applications do not communicate with Windows virtual printers.

" Continually sought to identify inefficiently written code to improve existing processes. For example, replaced the Oracle IN statement that was slowing down a query with the EXISTS statement that uses indexes.

" Designed a way to update legacy dBase tables from inside Visual Basic code such that indexes are simultaneously updated. Previously this required post-process manual reindexing.
