Assistant Manager Process Control of Cold Rolling Mill (9 Months, From 1-Sept-2011 to till Date)

Roles

• Priorities Process defects

• Identification of affecting process parameters by brainstorming with concern process line

• Reduce Wrinkle surface by optimizing HSM coiling temperature, Al/N ratio and SPM uncoiling and exit tensions from 1.2 % to 0.1 %

• Data Analysis for the spot rust formation (surface defect), found root cause, verified and implemented the permanent corrective action to reduced diversion due to spot rust from 0.56 % to 0.01 % with 3 months.

• Data Analysis for the sticker marks (surface defect) generation, found root cause, verified and implemented the permanent corrective action to reduced diversion due to spot rust from 0.8 % to 0.4% with 3 months.

• Re-designed the CRM process Parameters (Like CCM Reduction, BAF Annealing Cycle and SPM Elongation) to achieve desired mechanical properties and mapping with customer

Assistant Manager and Junior Manager Operation (3.5 year, Dec-2007 to 31-Aug-2011)

Roles

• Daily Production planning to meet the business plan targets

• Management of 12 diploma shift engineers, 16 crane operators and 12 annealing shop floor operators, including their manpower planning, scheduling and positional training execution.

• Data analysis using statistical process control tools to minimize defects and reduce re-jection.

• Validation of Batch annealing cycle to achieve desired mechanical properties and good surface finish

• Strong Coordination with PPC, previous line suppliers and next line customer for timely delivery of materials to the customers
