• While helping to build this curriculum, I gained a solid and extensive knowledge of internal, geriatric, and oncology medicine (pain management, congestive heart failure, strokes, heart disease, diabetes, Parkinsons disease, dementia, multiple sclerosis, neurodegenerative disorders: Guillain-Barre disease, transverse myelitis, (ALS) amyotrophic lateral sclerosis et al) within the scope of Internal Medicine and Oncology. I served to highlight and teach key disciplinary points in these focus areas keeping current of up to date therapeutic and palliative patient management.

• Created lectures and presentations on PowerPoint to teach numerous medical topics including the basic sciences (anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, biochemistry, biostatistics/epidemiology, embryology, pathology) and focused clinical lectures in Renal Failure, Electrolyte Imbalance, Cardiology, COPD and PE, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease and Neuroscience, chest x-rays, short procedures, and bedside diagnostics

• Our program travels to various nursing homes and clinics. My responsibility also included teaching and demonstrating physical examination skills on patients, how to write concise, accurate SOAP notes and read patient charts to medical students.

• Designed OSCE (Objective Skill Clinical Exam) stations for practical exams and writing exam questions based on assigned reading materials. Examples of scenarios and stations I’ve designed would be anaphylaxis, asthma, pneumonia, hyperkalemia and congestive heart failure.)

• BLS and ACLS certified for the last six years
