- Manage daily duties, including but not limited to, reporting to various correctional facilities to interview staff and inmates
- Conduct criminal investigations on sexual abuse, rape, and criminal sex acts; gather any necessary documentation to aid the investigation; preserve and process crime scenes; and track phone calls and correspondence
- Inform NYSP Barracks, DA offices, and crime labs to finish and/or conduct further investigations as needed
- Confer with NYSP BCI investigators and present collected evidence for possible inmate or staff arrest
- Handle cases of domestic staff arrests and staff court orders of protection issued by courts
- Follow court proceedings and the outcome of the court cases
Correction Officer

- Supervised custody and control of incarcerated inmates inside the prisons to ensure that inmates perform their work assignments
