RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Independent Research Spring 2012
Conducted research on chemical analysis of fingerprints. In cases where ridge patterns cannot be determined, using mass spectrometry to analyzing the chemical buildup on a partial print can help determine what types of things an offender has touched. In specific cases, such as sexual assault, the chemical makeup of condom lubricants can be used to narrow down the type of condom used and eliminate suspects.
