Shift Manager/ Blow Molding

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of warehouse, production, scheduling, and maintenance in a high volume environment which produces blow mold products for a diverse customer base and over 100 products.

• Supervise production and maintenance supervisors towards plant and corporate standards in safety, quality.

• Responsible for 60 employees in production, quality and maintenance in a continuous operation that produces products for the automotive industry as well as a variety of other industries.

• Schedule all production and change-overs on all Blow mold operations.

• Maintain and adhere to all customer demands and requirements on a JIT schedule format.

• Coordinate all training and continuous development in areas of safety and operations for all employees, including 5s, Kaizen, and Lean projects.

CHRYSLER LLC, Perrysburg, Ohio • 2004 – 2009

Press Room / Production Supervisor/Powertrain Division, Torque Converter Manufacturer.

Initially hired in an interim role and soon after offered a permanent position based on high performance levels. Provided leadership to a team of up to 30 individuals in the press room and 30 in production. Ran three departments .

• Improved time of die changes 10%.Responsible for scheduling die maintenance and tooling repairs.

• Introduced and launched a team concept in production and in other areas throughout the plant. Achieved improved communication, increased throughput, and eliminated job classifications. Additionally, increased cross-functional skills throughout the plant.

• Slashed total amount of scrap by approximately 7% annually (press- room). Managed Verson and Niagara presses.

• Led TPM and TQM teams in Lean projects and recognized by Chrysler for outstanding achievements.

• Increased efficiencies and lowered quality defects to beyond plant standards in 2009.

Coordinated and oversaw the work of 50 first shift workers in a non union environment. Scheduled work using KanBan methodology, in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer.
