Curriculum Developer, Education and Interpretation Division 2005 – 2009
Developed educational materials for five grant projects which addressed the content needs identified by elementary and middle school teachers. Designed evaluations for educational materials and compiled the evaluation results for a federal grant.
Received an Ohio Social Studies Resource Center (OSSRC) rating of "Excellent" for my curriculum materials.
Produced K-12 programs for two major exhibits that utilized visual-thinking strategies and expanded our audience beyond its established fourth grade focus.
Developed gallery activity guides for the SOUL! art exhibit.
Employed focus groups, backward design, and a front-end evaluation to produce a program designed to address the needs and priorities of homeschool educators which included assessments and an evaluation.
Reviewed existing educational programs, targeted specific Ohio Department of Education standards, and developed grade appropriate objectives and assessments, which made them more relevant and improved relationships with teachers. (school program revenues doubled).
Prepared and presented diverse programming including History-to-Go van trips, Discovery Theater, school and public programs, Echoes in Time Museum Theater, summer camp, and teacher training.
