ACHIEVEMENTS
Maintained safety by taking an employee first role with my production workers, this increased employee job satisfaction.
Optimized and reviewed minimum balances to mathematically sensible quantities saving the company over $1,000,000 in inventory in only 3 months time.
Implemented Master Production Scheduling (MPS) at multiple facilities, trained schedulers, and developed the standard operating procedures to be followed when scheduling the production lines.
Optimized and combined a shipping route structure for three manufacturing facilities, generating a cost savings of over $20,000.00 per month.
Laid out a production line using lean concepts and reduced Work in Process (WIP) by $80,000 sales dollars. This also reduced lead time to the customer by one entire day.
Created a team environment where an autocratic style of leadership was predominating, this greatly increased employee morale and made them feel like they had some control of their environment.
Reduced 10 days of work in process to change our department lead-time from 13 days to 3 days. This was done using Lean Manufacturing and In-Line Manufacturing principles.
Trained 3 shifts of 45 employees each, in order to successfully start up three new multi-million dollar production lines for a leading automotive supplier.
Set-up a KanBan system for one line producing over 150 different products. This ensured on-time delivery to our customers.
Developed procedures and lead physical inventory on a monthly basis for over 6 months. I ran both count crews and auditors. I worked closely with the controllers to validate the inventory and to also identify and resolve any issues.
