industry sector in the field of Engineering, Inspection, Commissioning, Operation, Maintenance and

Trouble shooting of Field Instrumentation, DCS, PLC and QCS Systems.

Major Career Achievement:

During my employment tenure in Shotmed Paper Industries, Cairo, Egypt, I was independently

responsible and successfully completed the erection and commissioning of two paper machines including

the stock preparation along with DCS and QCS systems supplied by M/s Honeywell, Turkey.

Various Training undergone:

1. Two weeks in India for ABB AC 800X DCS engineering training

2. Two weeks in Egypt for Honeywell HC900 Plant scape DCS engineering training.

Abroad Experience :

· Went to Salach, Germany in November 2006for the dismantling of Honeywell Measurex smart

platforms of four numbers and field I/O & MCC panels of Alcont System for the sixth paper

machine in The Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills Limited, Rajahmundry, India.

· Working independently as an Senior control and instrumentation engineer in the erection and

commissioning of all the field instrumentation and DCS and QCS system for the two paper

machines including stock preparation in Shotmed Paper Industries, Cairo, Egypt.

Position Held : Senior Plant Engineer

Scope of work : Installation, commissioning, Inspection, Maintenance & Trouble shooting of field

instrumentation, DCS and QCS Systems.

Specialized Area : Field Instrumentation and control system of Paper Machine, stock preparation, pulp

mill. QCS system of Paper Machine.

Control Systems : ABB AC 800X, ABB Freelance, Eurotherm Esuite, Master piece MP200, Master

View MV850 , ABB Accuray 1190 Scanners.

Duties and Responsibilities :

1 Distributed Control System and Quality control system.

· To carry out fault finding of the above mentioned systems.

· Responsible for all the checkups required before startup of the paper machines.

· Responsible for finding the cause of plant trip.

· To maintain detailed technical record of each instrument/system including storage and control

of process computer software control configurations.

· To provide technical functional support to instrument engineers on complex control system

faults.

· To prepare all the list of spares required and also from time to time checks material stock

available and prepares materials requisition for the out of stock material and follow up the job

till it is completed.

· To carry out online configuration on the above said systems.

· To carry out weekly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly maintenance of the said systems.

· Maintenance of centralized DCS system AC800X for the entire Fiber Line plant, Clo2 Plant

and Oxygen plant of pulp mill Supplied by M/s ABB.

· Maintenance of Accuray 1190 QCS system for three paper machines supplied by M/s ABB.

· Maintenance of CD caliper controller Supplied by M/s Measurex and M/s ABB.

2 Field Maintenance

· To maintain and investigate component and system faults and to make recommendation to

prevent a re-occurrence.

· To carry out replacement and up gradation of pneumatic instruments with smart and

intelligent instruments.

· To carry out commissioning and maintenance jobs in accordance with all the safety rules and

in order to avoid accidents.

· To keep good knowledge on detail and design engineering. Understands P &Ids, Hook ups,

Loop wiring diagrams, Functional diagrams, signal flow diagrams.

· To provide technical and functional support to instrument engineers on resolving complex

control system faults.

· Responsible for online job training on systems and field instruments to instrument engineers

and Sr. Technicians to improve/maintain their efficiency.

· To prepare required spare parts list and also from time to time check material stock available

and prepare material requisition for the out of stock material and to do necessary follow up

with the supplier.

· To carry out calibration of instruments, fault finding and rectify the fault in order to avoid

re-occurrence.

· Planning of required important spares for continuous running of the mill.
