Safety Manager/ Permit Issuer
Conduct Safety Audits monthly, along with conducting safety meetings with contractors
Issued General, Hot Work I and II permits to contractors who were performing work in the plant.
Field observations on contractors, where permits were issued to.
Performed every other month fire extinguisher inspections to make sure they are properly working
Decision making for performing dangerous work, whether for maintenance, operations or other contractors

At my past job I have participated in the BP Contractor Safety Audits and meetings
Pulse observations on a daily bases, these Pulse observations consisted of small audits on fellow employees or other contractors.
The field of safety was of interest to me in so many ways; I am always willing to learn new things and how to perform them to keep not only myself safe but also my fellow employees safe as well. So that way everyone can return home to their families and friends.
I’m enrolled in the American Society of Safety Engineers ( ASSE)
I have also assisted with volunteer safety work during the rebuild during hurricane Katrina, for the construction of homes and also machinery operation.
