Managed all incoming/ outgoing materials for Cobasys ( owned by SBLimotive- Samsung-Bosch JV), manufacturer of nickel metal hydride batteries and battery packs for automotive use. Managed 5 direct reports. Responsible for ordering and transportation of all direct materials from metal powders to electrical controllers. Managed supply from suppliers in AP and European regions. Involved in daily manufacturing planning, scheduling and shipping. Oversaw plan for build out of NiMH batteries for transition to Lithuim Ion batteries. Led yearly physical inventory and audit by KPMG Korea. Resigned the position in Aug 2011 for spouse transfer to North Carolina.

2006- 2009 Sr. Quality Engineer, COBASYS- Springboro, OH

Quality/ EOL testing engineer for GM BAS, BMW and Daimler hybrid battery packs. Insure outgoing quality of battery packs for shipment to assembly plants from launch into production. Develop and maintain all quality inspections and data. Responsible for EOL FTQ and analysis/disposition of all packs. Train and oversee work of quality technicians for the CARE final pack inspection station. Develop and maintain control plans and GP-12 for assembly line. Coordinate all PTR’s and product changes with assembly plants. Support manufacturing validation builds at customer plants. Coordinate and maintain records for any rework or containment activities. Prepare PPAP submissions, PRR answers, 5-phase and read across analysis. Serve as the plant representative in the PDT meetings.

2003-2005 Project Manager, Bartech (working at Delphi E and C) – Dayton, OH

Project Manager for numerous caliper, drum brake and drum projects.

Determine overall project timing and deliverables for 2005 through 2009

model year projects. Lead the project teams and insure projects meet timing

goals and achieve all nine flawless launch metrics. Coordinate programs with

Delphi manufacturing plants in China and Thailand. Coordinate programs with customers in

Canada, US, Mexico, Thailand and Japan.

2001-2003 Sr. Project Engineer, Bartech (working at Delphi E and C) – Dayton, OH

Project Engineer in drum brake product design group responsible for implementation of new rear drum brake assembly/ brake drum on 2003 model year vehicle. Responsible for all component validation. Coordinated with customer all prototype samples and plant builds. Experience with supplier PPAP, drawing change procedures and QS 9000.

1995-1997 Sr. Current Vehicle Engineer, Saturn Corp. - Springhill, TN

Chassis system CVE responsible for brakes, suspension, fuel system, tire/wheels, and engine cradle/mounts. Located in plant chassis module as product engineering team member. Handled all chassis module plant problems for product engineering. Insured smooth product change implementation. Performed root cause analysis of all quality or chassis system failures and implemented fixes. Planned and executed all chassis plant trial runs.

1993-1995 Sr. Current Project Engineer, Saturn Corp. - Springhill, TN

Product engineer based at the manufacturing plant to insure integrity of vehicle system design and function. Responsible for engine cooling, air conditioning, brake, suspension, tire/wheel, and fuel systems. Evaluated and implemented product changes. Root caused end of line vehicle system failures and implemented fixes.

Design/release responsibility for air conditioning and engine cooling systems. Product development team leader working with Saturn and ten supplier partner teams. Extensive under hood packaging, mounting, and assembly background. Experience with NOA, PPIR, DFMEA, PFMEA, KPC, and GD&T. Generated Level 3 component specifications and insured validation to specifications.

Design/release responsibility for the engine cooling system and front-end airflow. Initial system concept selection and Level 2 specification development. Sourcing of seven component supplier partners.
