FreeBSD OS (C)

* Implemented a pseudo device driver, an Access Control List for a sample file system and 'In-kernel mailbox facility' for FreeBSD OS.

P2P File Sharing Protocol (Java)

* Design and implementation of peer-to-peer distributive search/file sharing protocol called ‘Simpella’ which is a simplified version of Gnutella protocol.

EM for Clustering (Matlab)

* Implemented the expectation maximization for mixture of Gaussians. The objective of the project was to find out how many different ways do people write a particular character.

Grade Prediction (Matlab)

* Wrote program that would predict grades for responses by learning from a training set of responses. Used a single Bayesian neuron for the same.

Pen-Gesture Recognition (Matlab)

* Implemented program that would predict character written given gesture co-ordinates using Hidden Markov models.

Top Hat Transformation (Matlab)

* Wrote program that would compute the top hat transformation (spikes in RGB values) for a 3d image.

Transport Layer Simulation (C++)

* Simulated the working of the Transport Layer by writing a protocol verisimilar to TCP.

Virtual Memory System for ‘NACHOS’ (Java)

* Enhanced NachOS (an educational operating system) by adding a Virtual Memory system so that it could run programs with large memory requirements.

XQuery Processor and Optimizer (Java)

* Develop an optimized Query Processor for executing XQueries over a set of XML documents.

Dense Matrix Multiplication using OpenMP and MPI (C)

* The goal of this project was to compare the performance of dense matrix multiplication using OpenMP and MPI and the impact of increase of number of processors and the increase in size of the problem.

Multiplayer Tic Tac Toe (C)

* Two players can play at a time and unlimited players can view the ongoing game.

Movie Booking System using Web Services (Java, .NET)

* Created host of web services which allowed users to book tickets online from multiple movie theatres. Developed some services in .NET and some in Java thus demonstrating the essence of web services that is platform independence.
