Position: Project Engineer Specialist 2008-Present

Hours per week: 40-50

* Owner of the quoting process for the External, Mechanical Systems and Hot Section parts of airplane turbines. Responsible to prepare and submit accurate quotes on time for customer approval.

* Perform EVMS (Earned Value Management System) Analysis for level of effort and milestone based projects.

* Work with Productivity Improvement teams to enhance the quality and budget usage of engineering projects, and create Process Maps for the design qualification and validation of the casted airfoil parts.

* Worked with Class II Changes and Casting validation Projects. A Class II is a change that allows engine part and drawing changes that do not impact the production function, fit or form that will comply with FAA or military requirements.

* Manage quality, cost and delivery performance in accordance with customer’s expectations.

* Communicate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines such as design, structures, product definition, support group supervisors and managers to successfully implement and complete projects in a timely and cost effective manner.

* Conduct weekly review meetings to discuss budget and schedules with overseas customers.

* Responsible to negotiate achievable project requirements and ensure adequate planning to achieve deliverables.

* Request and track the required approvals from overseas customers and the FAA in order to validate all design changes.

* Work as a design engineer qualifying and validating design changes for casted turbine airfoil parts to develop technical engineering skills.

* (As a design engineer)Provide technical writing and documentation to substantiate the design changes in order to obtain approval and validation.

* Create drawing layouts of the engineering changes for the use of product definition.

* Participate in ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence – Equivalent to Six Sigma) MFA (Market Feedback Analysis) to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
