Objective:
I am seeking a work from home transcriptionist position within your company.
Summary of Qualifications:
I love to type. I can type 106 words per minute with very few errors, if any. (See typing test that I have pasted at the end of my resume for proof.) I am fluently familiar with using the Internet for emailing, social media, faxing, and/or researching. I currently use a Dictaphone to transcribe mini-tapes. I have equipment to transcribe digital audio, including multiple audio players, foot pedal, and headset. I am familiar and able to transcribe by listening and/or watching recorded audio from movies, recorded hearings and/or depositions, or board meetings. I am familiar with bookkeeping software, i.e. QuickBooks, Microsoft Office programs, and WordPerfect programs. I adapt well in high-stress situations, and always meet my deadlines. I currently work at a law firm where I have a reputation for quick turnover of my work. I work hard and I always strive to give my absolute best to everything I do knowing that I am not only a reflection of myself, but also the company I work for.
Experience:
• August 2010-current: Dale & Klein, L.L.P.
Legal Transcriptionist/Bookkeeper: I performed bookkeeping duties using QuickBooks. I would collect and organize all the paperwork that was to be sent to our accountant. As a transcriptionist, I typed all tapes and dictation that was given to me by the attorneys and/or legal assistants. I have a reputation for being very quick with my turn-around time. I have also typed transcripts for video depositions that were recorded for the firm. I am also responsible for inputting all of the attorney’s time entries to be billed as well as maintaining the internal docket calendar. When needed, I also helped with answering telephone and helping where needed. (Note that I left this job from March to August 2010. However during that time, I was doing contract work with Dale & Klein.)
• March 2010-December 2011: VIP Providers
Caregiver/Provider: I provided for my grandmother. I would help her with her daily necessities, i.e. cooking, cleaning, bathing, etc. I did this a few hours each week as-needed.

Legal Transcriptionist: I was responsible for typing all dictation that was given to me by the attorneys and/or legal assistants. I maintained the internal firm docket calendar. I opened the new incoming files and assigned them out to the legal assistants. I maintained and inputted all of the attorney’s time into a program in order to be billed.
• September 2006- April 2008: Southern Arkansas Energy
Oil & Gas Landman: I performed clerical duties, maintained highly proprietary documents and databases, managed all files in the office, ordered probates and other necessary paperwork needed to close files, was responsible for monthly, weekly & daily reports. I researched title and located mineral owners for the company to lease. This job was very demanding and fast paced. I loved the environment. Even with the quick pace, I always met my deadlines.
• January 2006- August 2006: Calvary Baptist Child Development Center
Child Care Provider and performed clerical duties.
• November 2004- March 2005: Edinburg Teachers Credit Union
Bank teller: handled large amounts of money, filed papers daily, answered telephones, did cash transactions, credit union checks, took payments for credit cards

Personal Assistant: I called clients, answered phones, set up appointments, performed various secretarial duties, and maintained confidential files. I would also run errands and help with whatever was needed to be done.
