Oversaw the daily operation of a semi-automated Hard Candy production facility. Managed over 100 employees through 3 direct reports. Coordinated the receipt, storage, and rotation of inventory using production forecasts and planning schedules. Monitored the production cost accounting system to insure optimal production volume, yield, quality, and profit margin.
R & D/Quality Control Coordinator
Charged with expanding the product line through R&D. Formulated and tested new flavors and colors to meet general and specific customer requirements. Designed and implemented new production equipment and moulds. Directed carton and display vendors in designing new product display layouts. Developed quality control procedures to maintain consistent product quality.
Plant Manager
Managed the daily operation of a multi-shift manual production facility. Managed 4 Shift Supervisors and over 100 employees in producing Hard Candy. Streamlined the procurement process resulting in improved inventory management and predictable lead times.
