General contractor specializing in major commercial construction with annual revenues of $800 million.

• Managed complete project estimating including takeoffs, authoring, negotiation & execution of subcontracts/purchase orders with an aptitude to perform well in a multi-tasking environment.

• Generated approximately $30 million in new work annually. Praised as “the guy batting 1000.”

• Responsible for project budget, authoring cost reports, submitting RFI’s, conducting pre-bid meetings, general conditions, insurance requirements and subcontractor selection.

• Ensured bid coverage of required trades & evaluation of subcontractors through references checks, financial statements & D&B reports. Verified labor rates, issued joint checks, acquired payment & performance bonds and letters of credit.

• Negotiated with subcontractor’s early payment which discounted subcontracts by 2%.

Metal Sales – Woodland, CA 2003-2004

• Performed quantity take-offs and material cost estimates for metal roofing & siding products.

• Secured purchase orders from customers for the retrofit of Hickham AFB, installations in Guam and miscellaneous other large construction projects, i.e. churches, schools.

• Quality control checked and arranged for the timely delivery of materials including the enlistment of overseas cargo carriers.

Project Estimator

Performance Contracting, Inc – Sacramento, CA 2001-2003

• Generated cost estimates for oil refinery renovations and turnaround projects requiring new insulation and asbestos abatement. Assisted in acquiring Chevron & Valero as a new customer securing roughly $10 million per year.

• Responsible for purchase orders, change orders, cost reports, scheduling, representing company at industry meetings, hiring manpower, supervising and visiting sites for quality control & inspection.
