I was responsible for testing the quality of chemical products. If approved I would record the results in the Lims system. If the product did not pass I would reformulate the off spec blends with chemicals found in the product. Clean up and sets up duties were required. As well as processing and updating the product’s blends in the computer system, LN and ordering new lab equipment that was needed as well. I am knowledgeable with pipetting, streaking, even dying of products. I am also Knowledgeable with automatic viscometers, FTIR, Xepos and IQ x-rays, pH meters, refractometers , and with Density meters.

Chicago Park District (Natatorium Instructor/Lifeguard) Summer 2004-2010
I am certified by the American Red Cross in: Rescue breathing, First Aid, CPR, AED administration, Oxygen administration. As a lifeguard it was mandatory to perform monthly in-service training to keep our skills up to date. As a natatorium instructor I would work on strokes and swim styles with all level swimmers. As well as assist in breathing and diving techniques to all levels of swimmers. I was also responsible for fellow employees routine schedules, vacation days, and pay roll.

Activities
2009 to 2010 I was Vice President of Delta Phi Mu Sorority, Inc. From 2006 to 2010 I was an active member of Purdue University’s Forensic Science Club. In 2008 to 2010 I was the senior representative of the Multicultural Greek Council at Purdue University. In 2009, I represented Delta Phi Mu as a representative of the Latino Cultural Center’s student panel. Also in 2009, I was a student representative for the Lafayette Heart Walk Logistic Committee. In 2008 to 2009, I was Secretary of Delta Phi Mu Sorority, Inc. as well as a Volunteer for the YWCA Domestic Violence Shelter.
