Role: Business Process Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Extracted information from the PeopleSoft Database for recruiting efforts for higher profile positions.

• Developed extensive queries in PeopleSoft HR to focus recruiting efforts based on specific criteria as a cost saving measure.

• Member of the vendor selection team for the company to process the background checks for Corning Employees, and for the outsourcing of the recruiting services.

• Delivered presentations for various levels of management based on the data that was requested and extracted from the database systems.

• Contact point for internal customers to explain and manage the internal charges for the recruiting efforts.

• Reconciled the billing from the recruiting vendor for the recruiting efforts on a monthly basis.

Project: Analyzed Recruiting Focus

Description:

This project was to extract the necessary data based on the input from various departments to allow for a geographical focus of recruiting efforts based on specific criteria that was established. This required the development of PeopleSoft queries that would extract large amounts of data to a spreadsheet that would then be compiled and sorted through the extensive use of pivot tables and Excel formulations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop the needs list of the various departments to ensure all areas were addressed

• Develop the PeopleSoft queries that would extract the appropriate data based on the needs expressed.

• Responsible for the Excel Spreadsheet development to extract and dissect the data based on the requirements established in the initial request.

• Presented the data and spreadsheet to the requesting team for their sign off and approval.

Description:

This was an individual Six Sigma project to decrease the cost and time spent on job order forms being sent in for processing when the form lacked necessary data and approval.

Responsibilities:

• Created a Six Sigma analysis of the effectiveness and savings that the project would present

• Responsible for the development of a JAVA scripted HTML page that would address all of the needs lists based on the requirements of the team

• Presented the form to the team for testing and approval prior to implementation into the corporate intranet site.

CCSD Federal Credit Union, Elmira Heights, NY November 2002- May 2004

Role: Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Researched, purchased installed and implemented a new software and hardware to meet the requirements of the credit union to ensure that proper screening of new members were screened properly according to federal laws on a server based system that was utilized as a file and print server.

• Installed and secured a server system to defend against unauthorized access to data of the credit union and its members. Developing a structured security process to defend against unauthorized access.

• Researched and purchased and managed the installation of security measures for a drive up Automated Teller Machine, with contingency measures to recover in case of disaster.

Project: New ATM Implementation / Electronic Security System

Description: A new ATM with drive up service was determined to be a beneficial aspect to an existing branch of the credit union. In order to implement the new ATM, state and federal regulations needed to be examined to determine the specifics as well as what it was the credit union hoped to gain from the implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Determine the specifics of the security that would be needed to monitor the ATM as it was a free standing structure.

• Gathered specifics from the management team and regulations and presented the findings to the management team along with specifics as to what would meet the needs currently and with any changes that might arise in the future.

• Worked with vendors to determine the most cost efficient means to achieve the goals and moved forward with the vendor selection process and integration into the credit unions existing systems.

Adecco Technical, Corning NY March 2002- November2002

Role: Accounts Payable Customer Service

Responsibilities:

• Developed a method to track and maintain the current outstanding payables for the company through the utilization of a current database system that was used to record and track troubleshooting calls.

• Data needed to be secure and had to follow rigorous procedures to prevent unauthorized access to the data

Project: Accounts Payable Tracking System for Unpaid Invoices

Description: Initially there was no manner in which to track any outstanding invoices that had been received but not keyed into the accounts Payable system, because of an error or issue with the invoice. The invoices were maintained in paper form by the Accounts Payable Customer Support staff , and it was determined that there was a need to be able to see what was outstanding in unpaid invoices to have a clearer understanding of how the outstanding invoices would affect the business.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering data as to the various needs of the departments

• Researched the available software internally and externally being used for this activity.

• Based on the requirements that were established the determination that a software that was currently internally used would meet the needs of the department and established the necessary changes to implement within the department.

• Created an Excel spreadsheet that would extract the data and present this in a manner that would be able to be understood at the various levels of the organization.

• Created and presented the supporting documentation in order for the system to be used properly and train any new and existing staff as to the functioning of the process and software.

Responsibilities:

• Translated requests into system requirements and applications for implementation.

Project: Software License Compliance Software Development

Description: As a part of the corporate understanding of the expenses and legal ramifications of software purchasing and license compliance it was determined at the executive level that it would be at the division level to ensure that all licenses were in compliance and unnecessary spending was occurring for licenses that were not in use for all software for the company.

Responsibilities:

• I lead the cross-functional team with representatives from all of the departments within the division to obtain a clear set of guidelines as to what would and would not be acceptable

• Researched existing software currently sold on the market to determine if any would fit the established criteria

• Determined that there was not a software that would meet all of the company’s needs and established a team to develop the software internally.
