Working as a Quality Assurance in Cell Technology with Bangalore based TATA BP SOLAR INDIA LTD a joint venture company between TATA and British Petroleum UK Manufacturer of solar photovoltaic cells.

Summary of Qualifications:

Job Description:

Solar photovoltaic cell manufacturing involves similar process steps that are used in semi-conductor wafer fabrication. Basic silicon raw materials used for manufacture 156mm single crystalline and multi crystalline silicon surface. Diffusion for P – N junction, printing and firing for electrical contacts, laser scribing for edge isolation. The process is conducted in highly cleaned room and sophisticated equipments like PECVD & Diffusion machine.

The job responsibility includes:

● Qualification and reporting the new lot materials.(both electrical and mechanical performance)

● Own authority to ensure the Final goods as per sampling plan, by the QA seal and signature.

● Incoming material inspection

Silicon wafer which includes the Thickness, bulk resistivity, stability, TTV and visual like saw mark and mush

Printing screen inspection which includes the screen tension and emultion thickness

● Dynamic online quality checking like

Wafer etching, Diffused sheet resistivity, Sin coating thickness and Reflective Index, Silver and Aluminum paste weight of the cell etc.

● Complete knowledge of quality tools operation

‘Pull tester’ to measure the cell soldering metallization strength

‘GP stability tester’ for measure the wafer stability

‘Dek tec’ for measure the wafer profile like saw mark or uneven surface

‘Zygo 700’ for measure the grid line width and height,( 0 to 500 microns)

‘Sentec’ for measure the plasma enhanced coating and Reflective index

● Knowledge of the solar cell document (global quality)GQ5100, and GQ5600

● Calibrating the equipments like NPC cell grading tool, and weighing tool and Sentec etc.

● Final inspection which involves segregation of cells according to electrical performance ,

sin rejection, grid line break, aluminum delamination, peel up etc

● Maintaining “5S” technique in shop floor and Kaizen.

● Awareness of chemicals and safe working procedure and handling emergency situations

● Complete Knowledge in operation of equipments used for Manufacturing.
