Project Description:

The Next Generation Element Management System (NetWay Manager) provides a Web-based, Integrated Remote Element Management Solution for managing Powerwave’s Network Elements such as Repeaters and Cell site Equipment. It provides a centralized management solution of all the FCAPS functionalities for the Powerwave’s devices.

The solution is built over the existing OpenNMS framework to increase the time to market. Northbound API’s are also provided to enable querying of NetWay by the northbound applications such as NMS, RF-NOS and other OSS applications.

Responsibilities:

Development

Created Installer for Windows and Linux operating systems using InstallAnywhere and InstallShield.

Written the related database functions using PL/SQL for PostgreSQL database

Bug Fixing

Fixed the critical bugs of different modules which required immediate solutions by the clients.

System Testing

For volume testing, simulated large number of devices using AdventNet Simulator. Simulated large number of users using imacros

Release Management

Created the initial ANT build file to compile and create executable for the different project components.

Built the initial Linux installer of NetWay Manager using InstallAnyWhere 8.0 and 2011 install builder independently.

Built the initial Linux installer of PicoEMS using InstallAnyWhere 2010 install builder independently.
