Construction Management/Inspector
• Montgomery Watson management team and liaison between the MW engineers and independent contractors to ensure quality assurance and best practices for the Sewer System Evaluation & Rehabilitation Program (SSERP), a New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board Project. On site supervision and management of construction projects.
• Preparation of cost estimates for bid and final restoration.
• Management of proper traffic plan(s) as applicable to specific road conditions on each job site and the inspection and enforcement of safety plans.

Cad Design and Construction Inspector
• Assigned to the rehabilitation of a runway at New Orleans International Airport. Prepared reports on the contractor’s progress.
• Focus of work was the removal of existing concrete, asphalt, base and sub-base, followed by new installation, compaction testing, and finishing.
• Quality assurance and job compliance achieved through intense knowledge of construction documents and plan changes.
• Used AutoCAD, as well as project management on-site recording data of material quantities, material inventory, completion percentage, plan changes, measurements, elevations, work force, equipment, and incident reports.
• Provided visual aids via digital camera/video.
UNIVERSAL PERSONNEL, New Orleans, LA April 2002 – November 2002
Cad Operator
• Assigned to Shell Deepwater Development Inc. to work as a draftsman in the design of tension leg platforms for deepwater Gulf of Mexico projects.
• Used steel and concrete design for stabilizing pillars for the platforms as well as design of the living quarters.
• Updated designs on AutoCad drawings that were part of a massive database system – Design change instructions were provided in the form of mark-ups from the engineers; as many as 30 drawings per day (with complex layouts) utilized drafting skills in the areas of civil, structural, piping, mechanical, and electrical.
• Experience gained at this position was particularly beneficial due to the exposure to additional AutoCad commands and add-on packages provided by a software writing team.
