Summary:

I have over fifteen years experience in civil design and mapping. Specific office experience

includes GIS mapping using ArcGIS software, the modification of drawings to match company

specifications, including as-builts, details, work space, profiles and materials, AutoCAD

manipulation, X-referencing, building geo-bases, interpreting survey point data, using digital

USGS Quadrangles, NWI's, DEM's, imagery projection and data analysis. Additional project

experience includes the use of coordinate systems and interchanging data between GIS & CAD

applications. My civil design experience includes profile design, surface building and analysis,

site grading, volumes and mapping using ArcGIS.

Work Experience:

Civil Designer/ GIS Technician

Produced Plan and profile pipeline drawings, alignment sheets, crossing permits and maps of

over 1,000 miles of linear projects using AutoCAD 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010; AutoCAD Map3D,

LDD, Civil 3D which I have had limited exposure but training in, ArcGIS, Survey Analyst, 3D

Analyst, and Maplogic Layout Manager Pro. My use of Bluesky Align db has been limited to

creating and insuring the integrity of the following from survey data: ownership band, centerline,

coating, cathodic protection and materials also running the bands and the clean up.

Produced property plats and legal descriptions resulting in legal acquisition of R.O.W and

determination of workspace for construction of new pipelines.

Produced approximately 80% of the GIS mapping at HMM during my time there. Maps and

mapbooks I produced greatly assisted in the approval of FERC filings, field recognizance, and

meetings between project managers, field personnel and clients.

Conducted site survey and volume analysis on stockpiles and created 3D renderings of sites for

final presentation.

Produced photo alignments, quads, NWI maps, residential construction details, permits and

environmental details. Provided Drafting/GIS Mapping effort for a FERC Filing. Used X-

referencing and geo-referenced base maps based on GPS Survey.

Sabine Pipeline - 30 Miles of 42” Pipeline, Cheniere Energy, LA

Produced photo alignments, quads, NWI maps, residential construction details, permits and

environmental details. Provided Drafting/GIS Mapping effort for a FERC Filing.

Ponder to Paris Pipeline - 120 Miles of 42” Pipeline, Energy Transfer Company, TX

Produced photo alignments, quads and permits. Provided Drafting/GIS Mapping effort for a

construction package. Also assisted on the production of the as-built mapping for pipeline

integrity.

Texoma to Reed - 105 Miles of 42” Pipeline, Energy Transfer Company, TX

Produced photo alignments, quads and permits. Provided Drafting/GIS Mapping effort for a

construction package.

Texoma to Carthage - 35 Miles of 42” Pipeline, Energy Transfer Company, TX

Produced photo alignments, quads and permits. Provided Drafting/GIS Mapping effort for a

construction package.

Southeast Expansion - 110 Miles of 42” Pipeline, Gulf South Pipeline Company, MS

Produced photo alignments, quads and permits. Provided Drafting/GIS Mapping effort for a

FERC filing.

Helena to Birmingham - 110 Miles of Various Pipelines, Plantation Pipeline, AL

Produced as-built mapping for pipeline integrity, GPS Survey of lines and produce newly

updated photo alignments using USGS DOQQ’s. Used X-referencing, geo-referenced base

maps based on GPS Survey.

Northeast Passage - 473 miles of 42” Pipeline, Plantation Pipeline, OH, WV, PA, NJ, & NY

Produced map books for initial environmental and civil survey, right-of-way acquisitions and field

engineering purposes.

Texas Independence Pipeline - 180 miles of 42” Pipeline, Energy Transfer Fuel, LP, TX

Produced photo alignments, quads and permits. Provided Drafting/GIS Mapping efforts for a

FERC filing and provided preliminary efforts on as-built mapping for pipeline integrity.

Fayetteville Express - 185 miles of 42” Pipeline, Energy Transfer Fuel, LP, AR & MS

Produced map books for initial environmental and civil survey, right-of-way acquisitions and field

engineering purposes. Produced photo alignments, quads and permits. Provided further

Drafting/Mapping efforts for a FERC filing. Used X-referencing, geo-referenced base maps and

based on GPS Survey

Waste Management, Inc., Houston, TX 02/2007 – 08/2007

CADD Civil Design

Produced detailed annual landfill site analysis reports including plan and profile drawings,

isopachs, volume calculations and soil balances. These reports were the main accounting

method used in tracking incoming waste vs. the amount of airspace used in a certain period and

very crucial to the company in terms of maximizing airspace, making sure gate receipts were

correct, compaction ratios were good, affected the landfill managers bonus and what Waste

management reported in financial statements.

Utilize Microstation and InRoads digital terrain modeling software to create 3D designs for

conceptual, permit and construction landfill drawings

Annual and quarterly airspace site analysis projects included numerous WMI landfills

nationwide.

Department.

Produced roadway and traffic drawings for TxDOT, HCTRA, City of Houston and other entities

using Microstation and AutoCAD.

Produced various types of exhibits for all departments using ArcView GIS 3.2 and ArcGIS 8.3.

Projects such as Tropical Storm Allison Recovery Project (tsarp.org) which resulted in new

FEMA maps for our area.

CADD Environmental / Civil Design

Utilize Microstation, Site Works and InXpress digital terrain modeling software to create 3D

designs for conceptual, permit and construction drawings including details, plan and profile

drawings for landfills.

Assisted with the production of landfill construction CQA reports resulting in the certification of

liners for sanitary landfills.

Assisted with on-site construction CQA documentation to assure the integrity of landfill liners.

Use Photoshop to prepare landfill permitting exhibits for public meetings resulting in landfill

permit modifications that would not disturb the community.

Local projects included Blue Ridge Landfill (FM 521 Landfill) and Whispering Pines Landfill.

Produced construction drawings of landfill gas extraction systems using Microstation. The result

of which was much cleaner air and a more pleasant smell to the surrounding communities and a

“green” alternative as the methane was used by energy companies when feasible.

Coordinate projects with engineers to determine their needs and priorities.

Translated, analyzed and presented survey data as needed for designs.

Utilized SiteWorks and InXpress to create plan and profile drawings.

Created presentation graphics using various software packages including Photoshop to

combine photos of existing landfills and the 3d model to create realistic views of proposed

landfill expansions for public meetings.

Local projects include Blue Ridge Landfill, McCarty Road Landfill and Whispering Pines Landfill

as well as many other BFI landfills nationwide.
