Summary:
I have over fifteen years experience in civil design and mapping. Specific office experience
includes GIS mapping using ArcGIS software, the modification of drawings to match company
specifications, including as-builts, details, work space, profiles and materials, AutoCAD
manipulation, X-referencing, building geo-bases, interpreting survey point data, using digital
USGS Quadrangles, NWI's, DEM's, imagery projection and data analysis. Additional project
experience includes the use of coordinate systems and interchanging data between GIS & CAD
applications. My civil design experience includes profile design, surface building and analysis,
site grading, volumes and mapping using ArcGIS.
Work Experience:
Hatch Mott McDonald, Pearland, TX 08/2007 – 02/2010
Civil Designer/ GIS Technician
Produced Plan and profile pipeline drawings, alignment sheets, crossing permits and maps of
over 1,000 miles of linear projects using AutoCAD 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010; AutoCAD Map3D,
LDD, Civil 3D which I have had limited exposure but training in, ArcGIS, Survey Analyst, 3D
Analyst, and Maplogic Layout Manager Pro. My use of Bluesky Align db has been limited to
creating and insuring the integrity of the following from survey data: ownership band, centerline,
coating, cathodic protection and materials also running the bands and the clean up.
Produced property plats and legal descriptions resulting in legal acquisition of R.O.W and
determination of workspace for construction of new pipelines.
Produced approximately 80% of the GIS mapping at HMM during my time there. Maps and
mapbooks I produced greatly assisted in the approval of FERC filings, field recognizance, and
meetings between project managers, field personnel and clients.
Conducted site survey and volume analysis on stockpiles and created 3D renderings of sites for
final presentation.

Produced map books for initial environmental and civil survey, right-of-way acquisitions and field
engineering purposes. Produced photo alignments, quads and permits. Provided further
Drafting/Mapping efforts for a FERC filing. Used X-referencing, geo-referenced base maps and
based on GPS Survey
Waste Management, Inc., Houston, TX 02/2007 – 08/2007
CADD Civil Design
Produced detailed annual landfill site analysis reports including plan and profile drawings,
isopachs, volume calculations and soil balances. These reports were the main accounting
method used in tracking incoming waste vs. the amount of airspace used in a certain period and
very crucial to the company in terms of maximizing airspace, making sure gate receipts were
correct, compaction ratios were good, affected the landfill managers bonus and what Waste
management reported in financial statements.
Utilize Microstation and InRoads digital terrain modeling software to create 3D designs for
conceptual, permit and construction landfill drawings
Annual and quarterly airspace site analysis projects included numerous WMI landfills
nationwide.
Hatch Mott McDonald, Pearland, TX 08/2004 – 02/2007
