PROFILE A time served pipefitter advancing to site supervision and project management with 25+ years’ experience of his trade gained in the Oil and Gas, Petro-Chemical and Power industry sectors with having experience in fabrication shops, site work and offshore modules (including FPSO’s) in the U.K and Overseas. Using the skills I have acquired, I am ready to apply them with the aim of giving 100% commitment to the right company who shares my goal of being able to complete a project accident free, promoting a pro-active safety culture and by example to motivate the team to achieve targets in a safe, economical and efficient manner. My experience encompasses a wide variety of skills including field support to contractors, engaging contractors with safety issues, helping contractors adhere to project and legislative requirements and promoting a healthy relationship between Project Management, EPC personnel and contractors.

Mar 11 – Dec 11; Foster Wheeler Thailand,

Location; Sriracha Clean Fuels Upgrade Project, Chonburi, Thailand.

Hydrotest and Flushing Superintendent at the above Project, working closely with the Exxon Mobil Start Up Team for the RFSU, Other duties include time spent in Turnaround Dept. assisting with Dim. Check and Super Check activities in readiness for the upcoming Integrated Event (Turnaround) .Other duties assigned to me included the day to day tasks associated with a project of this kind, i.e. punch, hydrotest, flange management, pre-commissioning activities, closing out mechanical, insulation and paint issues, control and supervision of labour etc. prior to and including the pre and post Shutdown period.

July 10-Jan 11; Fluor Europe, Haarlem, Netherlands

Location; Ticona Relocation Project, Frankfurt. Germany.

Piping Superintendent at the above project. Duties include but not limited to, the day to day activities associated with the construction of a Chemical Plant. From toolbox lectures to multi national labour, HSE awareness through to signing off of completed works. This includes all phases of operations from erection of piping systems through to pre-commissioning.

Mar 09 – Nov 09; Poong Lim Industrial Co. Seoul, Korea

Location;- Gastello Booster Station 2. Sakhalin Island, Russia.

Piping Superintendent for Poong Lim M&C; a Korean Engineering EPC company who have assigned me to Mechanical completions. This role involves inspection of lines from construction through to M.C. accompanying the Client, SEIC (Sakhalin Energy Investment Company) and Russian Third Party Inspection Company RGS. Other duties assigned to me included the day to day tasks associated with a project of this kind, ie punch, hydrotest, closing out mechanical, insulation and paint issues, control of labour etc.

March 08 – Feb 09; Technicas Reunides (TR) Madrid, Spain.

Location;- Dung Quat Refinery, Vietnam, SE Asia.

Employed as a Piping Superintendent, based offsite, representing and looking after T.R. interests at the Fabrication Workshops, Transferred across to construction and pre-commissioning groups and then onto the Mechanical Completions Team co-ordinating Vietnamese sub-contractors Lilama for EPC Team, TheTechnip,.JGC and Technicas Reunidas Consortium. Participated in the Piping installation of the CDU Plant and all associated activities, providing recommendations for fabrication and erection including the co-ordination of overall piping installation with Vietnamese Subcontractors, Involved in all pre-comm activities from hydrotest through to reinstatement to handover to Commissioning.

Sept. 07 – Dec 07; Fluor Europe, Haarlem, Netherlands.

Location;- PetroBrazi Refinery, Ploiesti, Romania.

Assigned to the above project as a Piping Superintendent working on the construction of a new Gas-Oil Hydrotreater unit, inclusive of a six week shutdown to tie in the new unit to existing Plant. Duties included running the labour and activities for the Nightshift. including punch, hydro-test and commissioning activities and all other tasks associated with the construction of the above.

Aug 06 – Aug 07; Cargill UK, Manchester Wheat Project,

Location;-Trafford Park, Manchester, United Kingdom.

Piping Superintendent working for the Cargill Project Management Team, duties include but not restricted to the coordination of day and installation of piping systems on pipe racks/gantry’s Carbon Treatment production, CHP Plant, management of sub contractor labour in particular the piping contractor and the Insulation of lines and vessels, observation and enforcement of health and safety requirements, resolving field engineering issues, testing and commissioning.

Jun 05 – June 06; Fluor. U.K. Camberley. Surrey

Location, Genesis Project, Ineos Chlor, Runcorn, Cheshire UK.

Piping Superintendent on Fluor project management team, representing the client, Ineos Chlor on the construction of a New Chlorine plant at Runcorn, Cheshire. The pipework used in the construction of this plant was 60% GRP (Glass Resin Pipe) and 40% mix of stainless and carbon steels.

Duties and responsibilities included the overall and day to day supervision of piping, prefabrication, erection and the supervision of “punch out” and hydro testing of utilities and piping systems. Arranging inspections and tests with client representatives of the installed works, execution of all tests and inspections for the Mechanical Completion and Hand Over documentation packages. Liaise with Safety Supervisors to achieve the application of Safe working practices to the above works.

Apr 04 - Aug 04 ABB – Lummus Global Houston USA

Location. Yanpet DBN. Project. Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.

Piping Supervisor for Project management contract for clients, ExxonMobil/Yanpet Refineries.

Assigned to the Glycol unit as part of the de- bottleneck project. Duties included but not limited to identification of tie-in points, location of blind/spading points, supervision of all pre shutdown works, locating and removal of redundant pipework / plant accessible outside of turnaround dates and all operations that would be expected of a piping supervisor on the lead up of a major shutdown. Repatriated due to terrorist attack on project management offices where all staff were evacuated from KSA

Oct 02-June 03. ABB-Lummus Global. Den Haag Netherlands

Location Lyondell PO-11 Project, Maasflakte, Netherlands .

Piping Superintendent for a Project management contract on behalf of client /owner Lyondell.

Primary duties include system line punching prior to hydro-testing breaking out of pipework for drying / blowing activities and reinstatement. Additional duties include supervision of main mechanical contract, piping personnel and co-coordinating priority workforces to meet schedule requirements.

Location,Das Island, UAE.

Employed as a Piping Supervisor on the Adgas LNG Plant on the Train 2 Total Shutdown in charge of the following;- 110” seawater cooling water lines, all common and utility lines inclusive of valve overhaul, inspection and reinstatement of above. Control of foreign national labour and ex-patriot /foreign national supervision.

Transferred to the Norsk-Hydro Oil Terminal at Sture working for Sunvik International as a piping supervisor, Complete installation of instrumentation and small bore pipework including testing and commissioning .Re-assigned to Aker Elektro to work on the installation of pipework on the new Production Platform Oseberg Sor. All works as above.

Location;- SAPPI Paper Mill, Enstra, Springs. Johannesburg. RSA

Piping supervisor at the SAPPI (South African Paper Processing Industries) mill at Enstra, Johannesburg on the Siyakha project. Responsible for the safe installation of Mechanical and Pipework systems' and Project management contracts on behalf of client /owner .Primary duties included system line punching prior to hydro-testing and subsequent re-instatement inspection before system handover .
