Responsible of the lean manufacturing implementation initiative in the shop floor. Responsible for the coordination of Kaizen events, Gemba walks, training technicians, quality inspectors, engineers and all people involved in the proper usage of lean manufacturing tools. I was responsible for the implementation of ergonomics projects in both the production floor and the offices too.
• Implemented visual factory “the 5 seconds view” in the shop floor and in the offices.

I was hired to create the continuous improvement department; my main responsibilities included the creation of the lean-sigma internal certification process, the full training of the employees in the methodology, the creation of lean-sigma training materials to ensure the proper comprehension of all participants in the training, responsible for the maintenance and future configuration of lay-outs in the production floor, responsible to coordinate the new equipment implementation projects.
• Coordinated the implementation of 10 lean-sigma projects, savings for more than 500,000 US dollars /yearly basis were achieved financially validated.
• Leaded the manufacturing cells implementation to increase flexibility in our processes and meet customer demands. Balanced using takt time.
• Leaded the implementation of SMED and OEE metrics in the stamping presses.
• Responsible for the coordination of production, warehouse, packaging and power coating line lay-outs, in a plant expansion of 30,000 sq feet.

Responsible to coordinate process improvement actions to attend customer complains, in charge of the design and start up of new integrated manufacturing processes systems for new businesses. I was responsible for the projects coordination helping other engineers to succeed in their projects using lean manufacturing tools.
• Leaded the implementation of the new automated leakage test resulting in customer satisfaction of 100% and reaching a six sigma level in the test performance 3.4 ppms.
• Responsible for the design of new shop floor lay-outs, time and motion studies, determined inventory levels, process control, process capability studies, process documentation, operators training, poka-yokes (error proof fixtures) design, FMEAs, PCP development and PPAP completion.
